Overall Poor Performance and Quality

I lived at Abbey At Grant Road Apartments for 13 months, and overall, it was a very frustrating and concerning experience.
From the very beginning, things felt disorganized. I was actually given keys before I had even paid my deposit and prorated rent, which raised red flags about how the property is managed. Unfortunately, that lack of structure carried throughout my entire stay.
Within the first 30 days, my vehicle was stolen from the property and ultimately totaled by my insurance company. ...
That alone made me question the level of security here. Over time, it became clear that incidents like theft were not isolated, and the overall safety of the complex is a serious concern.
Maintenance was another ongoing issue. Requests were either slow to be addressed or handled with temporary fixes that didn’t actually resolve the problem. It felt like things were constantly being patched instead of properly repaired, which made living there even more frustrating. Pest issues were always a concern roaches were in the apartment the day of arrival and an ongoing problem.
The office staff also seemed to change frequently, which made communication inconsistent and unreliable. Just when you thought you knew who to contact, there would be someone new, and you’d have to start over explaining everything.
To make matters worse, there was even a murder reported on the property during my time there, which further highlighted the safety concerns.
Overall, between the lack of organization, poor maintenance, constant staff turnover, and serious safety issues, I would not recommend living here. I strongly encourage anyone considering this complex to do thorough research and think carefully before signing a lease. Only gave it a one star due to it is the only way you can send the review.

The location and square footage is good. The amenities are fairly decent too. What totally voids all the positives about The Abbey at Grand Road is the awful roach infestation. We have done everything from calling pest control to spending hundreds of dollars on pesticides. Nothing works permanently because the infestation is all over the complex, and this is a fairly large complex. I'm afraid to eat here. I can't cook because I'm paranoid that roaches will end up in my meals. This is no way to ...
live. The property manager is great, but it seems as though there is only so much she can do. If you are reading this because you're considering moving here, run, do not walk to another option. I am not far behind you. I am a professional like many other who call this place home. We work hard and just want somewhere comfortable to come home to at this end of the day. This is not fair!

Since I've been a resident they have constantly gone the extra mile in making sure that my residency is a great experience. Two words ROACH INFESTED,when I moved in about 7 months I saw a few dead roaches not even a few days later I would come home too roaches I tried to bomb the apartment Nd it only made them come out more it’s now august and I’ve even had a roach crawl on me a few times hace multiple cans of roach spray , apartments are spacious but for what I’m paying there shouldn’t be a bug problem,not worth it glad when my lease expires in a few months

I am a delivery person. I went to deliver to the office and as soon as I walked in one of the staff immediately snapped at me, before I even said one word to her, that I had to deliver door to door. I calmly responded that one resident requested that I leave their package in the office and requested a sute map for myself. She then told me the property was just a big circle and I didn't need one. This is my 3rd year here. The new management has been less than desirable. The noise level is terrible. They took the carpet out of apartments on upper floors that they remodeled. This took out all sound dampening. The walls have always been thin. You can hear your neighbors living room TV when it is at normal listening levels. In your master bedroom.
