We moved in June and this experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The only reason to even consider this place is the close distance to the beach and lower cost. But I would recommend just living the 20 minutes from the beach and paying more money to not live here.
A few days before moving in, we were told the apartment wasn't ready and they needed to update it. This was very annoying, but we agreed. The day we needed to get our keys, no one was at the office for over 3 hours. Finally, ...
when this guy showed up, we found out the new apartment was also not ready. We refused to change again. They showed us the place, the slider door was in aweful condition and its impossible to open/close, BUT they told us they'd replace in 3-5 weeks. 4 MONTHS LATER, this hasn't been updated. It's covered in grime that is impossible to clean and there is literally wood wedged under to keep it up. They also did not clean the place to the level anyone should ever expect when they move in. We had bugs in our kitchen, and pulled out the stove to find literally a mound of food crumbs and greese. I had to spend over 4 hours scrubbing the patio because it looked like no one had cleaned it in years. The vents in the bathrooms are covered in caked on dust and other stuff that keeps falling in clumps when you turn it on.
The vendors they use are aweful - they've stained carpet, left giant splotches of the wrong color paint on the wall, gashed the wall, made giant messes, etc. They had to replace our shower within a month of moving in and the new shower is cheap and already coming apart.
Management gives incosistent information constantly. They'll tell you they'll fix something by a certain time and won't. They'll tell you they'll followup and never do, etc. Or they just ignore you completly.
Also, no one cleans the stairways. They are always covered in dirt and trash.
If you work from home - don't move here! They give literally zero notice of when they will do things that will fully upend your day. We've gotten an email the night before mandatory work would be done. ALSO the neighbors are THE WORST. I've rented for 20 years and in a college neighborhood, and never have had so many neighbors that don't care about their neighbors like this. Our nextdoor neighbors literally fight every day to a point I think we are going to be on Dateline. Our above neighbor is a guy who acts like he's in a frat house. People will just yell in the stairwells and outside.

My apartment is beautiful. The property is beautiful. It is worth the money I pay.
What really makes it a pleasure to live here are the people. I’m a private person but I find myself compelled to enjoy my neighbors. It is such a great mix of people who are friendly and respectful of one another. I come from a tough city where apartment tenants stick to themselves. Sure, us bright souls always find each other so there were a few people I connected with but not like here. This community reminds ...

Anthony and Alejandro genuinely care about us and our experiences here. They are both exceedingly kind to me and all my crazy questions (I do try to leave them alone when they are off work). They both stop to check in with me and make sure I am happy here. Sure, they each have responsibilities but they naturally have customer service skills that not many possess. In my mind that levels up this community and the living experience. They take care of things right the first time and I have a lot of respect for that. My time is precious and I don’t need to spend it chasing down fixes.

I am impressed with the articulated explanation of the couple of issues I have had here in my building. They are GREAT!!! I absolutely LOVE living at The Brittany. We have spacious apartments -- huge bedrooms, huge living rooms, regular-sized dining room and regular-sized kitchen, with all appliances, with tons of cupboards that go up to the ceiling. We have great big walk in closets in both bedrooms, tons of space and shelving for more than one person. In addition, we can walk out of our apartment and right up to the beach. If we don't feel like going in the ocean, there is a gorgeous Olympic-sized swimming ...
pool that is glorious to swim in. There is room off of the patio for a full-sized washer and dryer, but I use that large space for storage because the 24 hour laundromat is just a step from my apartment. If you find anything wrong, just call, and you are tended to immediately -- well, within a day anyway. The people here are amazingly polite and caring, and do their best for you at any time. Like I said, I love it here -- I can walk to department stores and grocery stores -- I can't imagine a better place anywhere.

We originally picked this complex because of the spacious floor plans and there location which is blocks from the beach. These apartments are centrally located by several stores including Walmart and windixie. Several fast food restraunts including mcDonalds and Wendy's. The apartments are very large inside with 2 bed 1 bath, 2 bed 2 bath and 3 bed 2 bath. A very large pool, children's playground and 2 lakes. We love our apartment at the Brittany. First off, it's a fantastic location -- in two minutes we can walk to the beach here in Indialantic. This summer I've regularly took short walks on the beach nearby and watched sea turtles nesting. Also, the Brittany is nearby several shopping centers and some great restaurants. For us, it's an ideal location.
Our apartment is great -- spacious and affordable, with a view of a pond where each day we see herons, ibis, egrets, anhiga, turtles, ...
ducks, and sometimes an osprey. My fiancee loves sitting out on the balcony with a book. It's not even the best apartment in the building (we're on the second floor with neighbors above and below). All our neighbors are friendly and nice; indeed, everyone we've met at the Brittany has been lovely. I like that the Brittany is not an insular retirement property -- there are kids out playing and young people, but I never had a single problem with noise.
The management take great care to keep the Brittany looking great. The buildings were all painted and updated this spring. Every week landscapers are out at some different part of the complex -- there are several buildings -- keeping the bushes and trees tidy. The maintenance staff are quick to respond to calls and stuff gets fixed in a timely and professional fashion. And then the management call to check up to make sure the work was done right.
We love the Brittany's Olympic-sized pool and use it all the time. I love swimming laps. There's also a tennis court where I like to practice my serve. And the small playground next to it is frequently full of kids after school and over the summer. And they are in the process of building a small gym for residents, which I'm looking forward to using.
Best of all, the Brittany is affordable.
I may have made the place sound ridiculously nice, but to me, it really is pretty idyllic. I've lived here for three years and have enjoyed every moment. It's maybe the best place I've lived. I'm saving for a house of my own, but it'll be hard to find a place that has a pond in the back where great herons come to fish.
