July 7, 2025I’ve been living in this apartment building for almost a year. Overall, it’s been a decent experience. The units are spacious with a nice layout, and I love the large windows that bring in a lot of natural light. Maintenance requests are usually handled within a couple of days, which is great. However, parking can be a nightmare since there aren’t enough guest spots, and street parking fills up fast. The neighbors are generally quiet, and I haven’t had issues with noise. The building itself is ...kept pretty clean, and management sends updates regularly. One downside is that rent increases every year, even though amenities haven’t changed. The laundry room could use some upgrades, but at least the machines work most of the time. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to live, but there’s definitely room for improvement.Property Manager Responded

City Beach Dream
June 15, 2025It took me two months to decide on this apartment, and I absolutely love it. Location is perfect. If you insist on a city + nature in one place, there is no better spot. A walk to Alamitos Beach and Marina Green is just two blocks. Also important, common areas are kept very clean, and the community rules and customs translate to the dogs at this property being well behaved. My feeling from the staff at The Current is that they genuinely want to ease your move-in and everyday life, which is ...unique. They are lovely people to have in a building that feels like home. Raelle is the one who helped me find my perfect apartment match, with an incredible beach view and hard flooring throughout. She is attentive to whatever comes up and knows LB well, offering many suggestions for places to go and things to do; she really helps build the community.Property Manager Responded

June 5, 2025I’ve had an amazing experience moving and now living at The Current Apartments. The location is unbeatable right on Ocean Blvd with stunning views and walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and downtown Long Beach nightlife. It’s the perfect balance of city energy and coastal calm. The building is modern, clean, and beautifully maintained. The amenities are top-notch from the fitness center and rooftop lounge to the pool and resident events, it really feels like a luxury resort. The staff ...and management are incredibly professional, friendly, and responsive. The units themselves are bright, open, and stylish, with floor to ceiling windows and high-end finishes. June 2, 2025Building and units are nice but the area around the building doesn’t feel safe any more. Even going to Vons is dodgy. Lots of crime and homelessness. Rates keep going up even though new renters get lower rates. If you are looking to rent at the Current, keep an eye on rates as they adjust them several times a month. Don’t wait til the end of the month to sign a lease as rates go up the last week of the month. You could end up with a rate several hundred dollars more than if you sign a lease in ...the middle of the month.Property Manager Responded

May 29, 2025Very easy and thorough tour of the apartment building. I love the rooftop pool has a great view of the ocean and marina. The elevators seem to be very quick which I love! Building is kept clean and there is after hours security to help me feel safe. Moving in was nice is easy as there is a loading zone for the mover’s truck. April 2, 2025The additional monthly Parking charges are ridiculous. There is no Loyalty once becoming a tenant, especially if leased for 5 years. It is purely transactional treatment, and your rent will increase. There are different rules for other people and timing.
