August 4, 2025My experience living here has been frustrating. This summer, I went nearly a full month without central A/C — during a heatwave. Management offered a window unit as a temporary fix, but I had to decline due to safety concerns. Communication throughout the entire situation was poor, and ultimately, no concession or rent credit was offered for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, this wasn’t an isolated issue. Since moving in, I’ve dealt with a sewer backup into my apartment, a leak from an electrical ...pipe in the laundry room, and a bathroom door that no longer closes because it's been painted over too many times. Maintenance only performed temporary fixes on an issue with water collecting between the liner of the tub — I ultimately had to outsource help to have the drain replaced myself. Critters are getting into my unit through an unseen opening in the laundry area, and maintenance has mistakenly entered my apartment on multiple occasions. Confusing my unit with another is not a valid excuse after the first time. While the neighbors are friendly, the infrastructure is outdated and doesn’t reflect the price point. I also find it unsettling that a raffle for a rent credit is being offered in exchange for positive online reviews. love it here!
July 23, 2025I’ve been living here for over a year now and I love it! The community is quiet and I’ve never felt unsafe walking around at night. The office is responsive and keeps everyone informed of events. Maintenance is punctual and respectful as well. My favorite amenity is the valet trash service that they offer! It helps take one chore off of your plate and it runs every day so you can use it on your own schedule. Also you can’t beat the location! We are so close to the Ladue shopping center and all of ...the new businesses popping up on Olive you have so many options.Property Manager Responded

Great apartments and community
July 10, 2025I moved into The District during May of 2025 and it has been a great experience overall! They let me view the apartment before signing the lease to make sure everything was in good shape and it was! Once I moved in, maintenance requests were taken care of in a timely and professional manner and they even called to let me know that they were entering my apartment. So Happy

Excellent Service
October 11, 2024We've been living here for a little more than a year now. So far, our experience has been great, peaceful neighborhood, friendly fellow residents, kind and approachable staff, and of course the proximity to majority go-to places like restaurants, groceries, etc. We also appreciate the response time of the maintenance crew whenever we request for them, they sure do deliver excellent on-time services. Do not recommend
January 23, 2024I have lived at the District for several years. I would not recommend living here. The only positive thing remaining about the District is the location. The leasing office and management do not care about residents. They only care if you pay your rent each month. The communication regarding any concerns you may have is nonexistent. Maintenance requests go unaddressed. I have 2 maintenance issues that still have not been addressed and this goes back to October or things are supposedly fixed but ...then break shortly thereafter. Mold and bugs are ongoing issues in these apartments. There is no sound proofing so forget it if you have a noisy neighbor. The upgrades that were done several years ago were done poorly and cheaply. The cost of rent is now equal to a mortgage payment. Garbage and dog poop piled up for weeks in December and January with many, many emails and finally communication with Freeman Webb before those issues were resolved. There is supposedly a non smoking policy in buildings but that is not enforced as my neighbor smokes in his apartment and right outside, littering cigarette plastic tips everywhere. The worst part is the total lack of care and concern shown by the leasing office and management. I am having an issue with a neighbor and have called plus emailed and have received zero response from management. No recognition that there is an issue, no apology, no communication about what they are going to do to address the concern. Nothing. I hate living here. Things have been going downhill for years now and this year has been the worst. I cannot wait until my lease is upProperty Manager Responded

Miscommunication
March 6, 2023Super nice apartments, great amenities, but the 1 bed 1 bath apartment they quoted me actually wasn't available until next year when I went to go apply. Simple mistake on their part, but it cost me $300/month extra to go with a different unit.Property Manager Responded
