The Dover was an okay place to live. The apartments were renovated with nice fixtures but there wasn’t a lot of thought put into some of the designs. For example, in the townhomes none of the drawers in the kitchen can open fully because of the oven. The appliances were new but throughout the year that I lived there I had issues with my washer, my dryer, my oven, and the AC. ...really recommend the Dover is the lack of security, the neighborhood isn’t very safe and the gate doesn’t close quickly enough. I have had a complete stranger knock on my door and had to contact the police because he snuck in behind the gate, a girl in the townhomes last year was robbed at gun point because someone snuck in behind the gate. The next reason is the noise from the highway, the windows in the apartments are good but if you’re in the apartments or the A townhomes the noise is very loud. You can barely use the outdoor space in the A townhomes. Finally for the price there is a large lack of amenities, compared to nearby apartment complexes of a similar price, The Dover doesn’t have a pool or gym or valet trash pick up. Overall it was an okay place to live, clean, friendly management, great neighbors, but overpriced and in a bad location.
