I just accidentally threw my keys into the dumpster with my trash. The maintenance man was so awesome and got in there and retrieved them for me! He was so nice about it too! I have always been impressed with how fast and courteous the staff and maintenance people are here. Thank you to The Grand on Julian.

Lived here since 2013. Leaving as soon as possible! New management since mid 2019 has encouraged my decision to move. Grass is not maintained and when they do mow or trim trees and bushes they leave the clippings and branches on the sidewalks indefinitely. There are currently broken grills and mildew in the pool. There is currently a drag race strip being built on the fair ground property that will run the entire length of the Grand’s property. They ha e also given R&L towing full autonomy ...
to tow any vehicle without a current parking sticker, meaning they come out in middle of the night and tow your mom who forgot to put a temp pass in the window Less than 1.5 miles to R&L towings lot and pay &200 or more to get your car back. The management does not call to get these towed but rather have given R&L directive to patrol the parking lot and tow resident vehicles without current parking passes at there discretion. I can’t wait to move! Sucks though I use to love it here.

I moved into the Grand just over 18 months ago and I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at the complex. The rooms are spacious and clean and the place has many wonderful amenities which include a fitness center, swimming pool, private theater, and more. However, what really sets the place apart is the friendly and courteous staff and the pride they take in not only maintaining each home but the complex as a whole. rarely had any issues but any that I've had were promptly addressed. Also, the staff does a fantastic job of vetting potential residents as everyone in the community is the type of warm person you would expect in the South. Furthermore, there is a large police presence at the facility to include the City, County, and even State levels. I feel much safer knowing the place has 24-7 Police protection. I would highly recommend the Grand on Julian to anyone looking for a fantastic maintenance free lifestyle at a reasonable price. I have greatly enjoyed my time at the place and I'm happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a safe and quiet home. We are new to NC and looked around quite a bit and felt that The Grand was the best choice for our family. We don't have any complaints so far besides some nosey neighbors, loud upstairs neighbors and their dogs barking, but that's anywhere you go. I've had great response times with maintenance and management when needed and that's what matters most. Lisa is a very kind and respectable leasing director and doesn't get the credit she deserves. We love our new home and plan to stay for many years ...

We moved less then a year ago. While the apartment layout is very nice, the management staff however are not. Once you are in the quality goes down quickly. They have no regard for the quality of living for their residents. Most of the time the staff were never in the office. It seems they make their own schedule and come and go as they please. The rules of the complex do not apply to them. They are able to do what they want and when they want when it comes to the pool and guest. If they want to ...
go into the pool at 12am with friends and alcohol they say it's okay because they are management and disregard the residents trying to get a decent night sleep. The property is owned by McClain Barr & Associates out of Summerville NC. Apparently they do not care about the staff either. We contacted them and the response was "Management can do what ever they want"! It's completely up to you if you want to live at a place like this, but I would not recommend this place or any of their properties to my friends or family.

We have been living here under a month but loving it all ready. The property is very well kept. The staff has been nothing but helpful with the move in. I haven't had a chance to enjoy all the amenities but hopefully soon. Our only dislike was having to take a 3rd floor unit. That made the move in difficult but it isn't so bad now that all the furniture is in. I feel like we made a very good choice with The Grand on Julian!
