About The Hickory

The building is quiet, professional, secured, and rent includes free parking (a rarity in downtown) and free Wi-Fi. It is located on the northwest corner of Washington Street and Hickory Street. It is two stories with a total square footage of 2,422. In addition to the 18 apartments it also has three retail stores. They are JJ Realtors, Mother Ghost, and Planted - residential realtors, custom women's clothing, and house plants respectively. Downtown Champaign is at your doorstep, The Hickory Street Apartments offers eighteen upscale, loft styled, green, energy efficient apartments: eleven two-bedrooms on our second floor and three two-bedrooms and two one-bedrooms on the first floor addressed at 513 North Hickory. Then there are two others 110 & 111 that are separately address as 505 N Hickory. There are two additional apartments addressed at 505 N Hickory, in the same building; they are apartments 110 & 111. They are large one-bedrooms. FEATURES - - hardwood floors - ceramic tile bathrooms - 10 feet high ceilings -some at fourteen feet - loft stylings - exposed spiral ducts - camera monitored entrances - secured building - roofed, secure bike storage - outdoor patio/sitting area - full sized washers and dryers - dishwashers - microwaves/hoods - Free high speed internet WiFi - free parking - private tenant fitness center - pet friendly - super insulated both for energy conservation and for sound transmission - On Demand hot water heaters in second floor apartments - whirlpool tubs (second floor) with ceramic tile showers - four apartments have Euro-styled fireplaces Constructed with extra thick insulated party walls (12 inches between apartments). We firmly hold that apartment buildings should be quiet. We went the extra mile to create quiet apartments. Each apartment floor plan is unique. All have open floor plans. Finishes are similar throughout. We pride ourselves on quick attention to maintenance requests - we even change your light bulbs! The Hickory Street Apartments has traditionally had a large University of Illinois influence. Over the last ten years, we have had a U of I football coach, administrators, professors, scientists, and graduate students as tenants. Additionally, tenants have been professionals, business owners, managers, and even a former Champaign mayor. PHOTOS ARE OF VARIOUS APARTMENTS. CONSIDER THEM 'TYPICAL'.
