Worst property management in DFW
August 12, 2025I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. While the apartment units themselves are, at best, decent, the management is by far the worst part of living here. What’s most disappointing is the lack of accountability and professionalism. Concerns brought up by tenants are often brushed off, and instead of working toward solutions, management seems more focused on avoiding responsibility altogether. It genuinely feels like once you ...sign a lease, they stop caring. Before I moved in, I was told that all units would be receiving smart locks — one of the key reasons I chose this complex. These smart features were marketed as part of the value and included in the pricing. Less than a month after moving in, they removed the smart locks entirely, claiming they were “having issues.” Later, we found out those same smart locks were simply moved to The Boat House apartments. On top of that, my kitchen sink drain was clogged for over a week. I submitted multiple maintenance requests and followed up by email — no real response. When I finally went to the leasing office in person, they told me to “just email maintenance and they'll get back to you” I explained I already had. Their reply? “We’ll let them know.” No urgency, no apology, just passing the buck. The issue eventually got fixed after 2 weeks, but only directly after I pushed repeatedly. Hey Rahquelle, Jenna, and Trey: maybe next time, don’t mislead people while they’re signing a legally binding 12-month lease. It’s not just bad business — it’s dishonest. STAFF TURN-OVER CREATES ONGOING PROBLEMS.
July 22, 2024When I moved here 3 years ago the staffing has drastically changed "often". I believe because of that, many things have been left incomplete; new staff blaming, saying it's due to last staff. Terrible management company and staff
October 11, 2019DO NOT LIVE HERE!! They are incompetent here and try and back charge residents for their issues. They don’t notify you of an home invasion and try to cover it up by handing out ring doorbells. They illegally tow vehicles and could care less about it. They threaten to kick people out of amenities because they don’t like them according to security. They use threats to tenants constantly. Rude People and Paper Thin Walls
January 23, 2019Where do I begin? The property management staff never replies to emails. These buildings are brand new yet the fire alarms are constantly going off? Always goes off between 10pm-1am. Perfect time. And of course the property management never addresses what’s wrong unless you ask them first. I don’t know any of my neighbors. No one is friendly. No one even acknowledges my existence when I walk past them. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. I can hear the dog below barking it’s ...head off. The dogs at this place bark and bark and bark. They never stop barking. I would not recommend living here. Seriously. It looks great, but it’s not. At all. Great staff & beautiful property
January 31, 2017I love living here. After living at Shops at Legacy for years, I never thought I would find another luxury apartment that is close to my work. The units are beautiful. Much more sound proof than previous apartments. The neighbors are mostly young professional. It's a great place for dog owners- lots of paths and "potty stations". I'm a runner and love the nearby miles of sidewalk on Windhaven. The staff is wonderful- Kristy from Hudson and Austin from The Boathouse are both super friendly and ...prompt. We really like living here and can't say enough wonderful things about the staff and amenities. There are some issues that are common with brand new complexes- had some difficulty packages, food delivery & technicians since address isn't in GPS yet but these will all be worked out in a few months.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
I would second think moving here
December 11, 2016When I toured this place I thought it was great. Then I moved in. The most annoying thing is I have left my trash out for three days and it does not get picked up. Went to the office they promised it would be picked up. Nope it’s still there. So now I am on the weekend and having to wait until Monday. So 6 days total. The sound dampening is the worst between the floors. I can hear every step my neighbor upstairs takes. So I know where they always are. If they push out a chair, yup I can hear ...that to. I also listened in to their conversation on the phone this morning. A normal one if that tells you how horrible the sound dampening is.
