Great Location and Design, But Poor Resident Experience

The Ludlow is a modern and clean apartment complex. I moved in when the building had just finished construction, so everything was brand new and at first I genuinely loved living here. Unfortunately, things started changing as more people moved in. One experience that really made me uncomfortable happened when I was home alone one night. Someone knocked on my door unexpectedly, and when I looked through the peephole, I couldn’t see anything because the person was covering it with their finger. ...
They stayed there for a while, and once they moved their finger, I saw a young man giggling outside my door. I told him I was going to call the police, and he immediately ran away. I reported the incident to management, but they couldn’t really help because there are no cameras in the hallways, so I never found out who it was. That situation honestly made me feel unsafe. More recently, the biggest issue has been noise from my neighbors. It honestly feels like too many people are living in that unit, or they are throwing parties almost every night. During the day it’s manageable, but late at night they play loud music, laugh, yell, and keep making noise to the point where I cannot sleep. This past weekend they stayed awake until morning being extremely loud. I reported it multiple times, but management only said they would “warn them,” and I honestly don’t think anything was done because nothing changed. They also told me to contact the courtesy officer, but when I called, it went straight to voicemail and nobody ever followed up. The walls here are also extremely thin, you can hear neighbors talking through them. On top of that, the hallways and parking garage frequently smell like marijuana, which I’ve also reported, but again, nothing seems to be addressed. It’s honestly unfortunate because I truly loved living here at first. But now I feel ignored whenever I bring up concerns, and it seems like management does not really take residents’ experiences seriously. Right now, as I’m writing this, it’s 2:15 AM on a Friday night and my neighbors are still making noise and I can't sleep. I just wanted to share my honest experience, and because of the ongoing disturbances and lack of effective response from management, I would seriously think twice before renewing my lease.

I'm sure this comment won't be posted in fear of people not wanting to live here, but so far, my experience hasn't been the best. This is the most expensive complex I've ever paid for and the communication is the worst, gate is broken, elevator is broken, and the apartment was dirty when I first arrived. This place has major changes to make in order to make the price make sense.

Before choosing the Ludlow, I am going to be very honest I toured at least 20 different properties and none of those properties could match what the Ludlow offered. Working with Emily from the start with the tour hands-down the best tour I’ve had. Her knowledge of the property how she explained everything was amazing. The amenities are amazing and I love the events the staff have! Overall everything has been great! I’m very happy with my decision to move here!

The Ludlow is overall clean and a safe environment. The staff are very friendly and professional and want to get to know you through efforts. They aim for a highly interactive community however it is very quiet which is a good and bad thing. Maintaince issues entry door doesn't work by stairs near my appartment, had washer and dryer issues, fire alarm went off thrice during initial construction at night, high rents not up to date with market, stop selling parking spots
