I like it here a lot :)
December 3, 2025I’ve only been here for about 4 months but I’ve never had a problem thus far. Maintenance comes super quick. The most you’ll be waiting is 24 hours (non-emergency of course. I’ve never had anything emergent happen) and the staff is so nice and kind. All of them! The area feels safe and then Katy ISD is the best! The school buses drop off and pick up right at the entrance. I like that. Food trucks are here every blue moon, I like that too lol. It’s cold now but the pool was SO NICE. Idk, best ...apartment I’ve lived in so far. More than likely will sign another lease when my 12 months are up if they’ll have us. 10/10! Have a good day :)Property Manager Responded

Just Exceptional!
May 15, 2025Excellent Living Experience at Opal At Barker Cypress I have been living at Opal for 3 years and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The maintenance staff is exceptional; Franklin, Rangel, Raul and Manuel, they are always prompt, professional, and willing to help with any requests. Whenever I've had an issue, they've resolved it quickly and efficiently, often going above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. The facilities here are top-notch--well-maintained and always clean. Common areas, ...such as the gym, pool and specially the dog park, are kept in pristine condition, making it a pleasure to use them. I truly appreciate the effort put into maintaining these spaces for residents to enjoy. Additionally, the staff here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the leasing office to the maintenance team, everyone has made me feel at home. Their willingness to assist or offer a friendly smile makes a huge difference in community living. Overall, I highly recommend Opal at Barker Cypress to anyone looking for a great place to live. You will feel valued as a resident and enjoy a wonderful living environment! Management sucks
October 26, 2023I just renewed my lease for the 3rd time . For two years I’ve had no problems with this property. It was always clean, quiet & I felt safe. Recently my vehicle was tampered with . Parts were stolen and not only mine but several other vehicles as well. I don’t see how this can happen when we have nightly security. Who’s clearly not doing their job. I’ve wrote managers several times and calling the office is only a recorded audio which is useless. There was also several break-ins in apartments ...which were swept clean. Nothing is being done and the rent is still increasing and the halls are dirty and filthy. A year or two this place would’ve got 5 stars but not today. Big problems with service staff
September 5, 2023I want to tell you about our experience of living in these apartments. We moved into this apartment in April, with a contract for a year, so we are still living here. When we first came for the tour, the area seemed to be gentrified, we were shown 1 bedroom showroom with new furniture, the manager Camilla was also friendly. The problems started as soon as we moved in. In our apartment, the refrigerator was already scratched and dented, and the stone countertops were all stained and chipped. I ...have also been in other apartments there is the same. All gas grills on site are out of order. There is dirt and debris on the floors, they are rarely cleaned. The chairs at the pool are dirty, the big umbrellas are not working properly. When we invited the maintenance staff to deal with the countertops, since they literally absorb everything that is on them, they said that this is not their responsibility, but I am responsible for this and have to pay. What's really surprising is if this is bad stuff why am I responsible for this? Although the manager Camilla said that this problem is in all apartments. One day when I was at work, the maintenance staff opened my door with their key while my wife was sleeping and entered the apartment. It literally scared her. I was angry and I didn't give them permission to enter. Today, when I was swimming in the pool, the pool cleaner took my clothes and threw them in the trash, mixing them with dirt, so that it turned into dirty mess. Although he saw me and today is not the day to clean the pool. I read other reviews and saw that people are also facing problems with the staff. I am writing so that the management pays attention, and the new residents mean that everything is not as good as it seems at first glance. You really should ignore the reviews people leave as soon as they moved in and pay attention to the reviews after they check out or for long stays.Property Manager Responded

I love it here!
June 1, 2021My husband and I recently relocated from Alabama to Texas, this was the first property we viewed and we instantly fell in love! The property is SO NICE, clean, and organized.
