May 12, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comI DO NOT recommend living here. I’ve been living here for a little over two years & have decided not to renew my lease for multiple reasons. What actually drew me to leave this review was my final straw with this place. Management does not work with you on anything. I explained well in advance that I would be out of town during the week I am supposed to move out and simply asked for a 4-day extension. Instead of showing any understanding or flexibility, they immediately declined because they ...wanted to hurry and & prepare the apartment for whomever may move in next & made it very clear that residents are treated like numbers rather than people, and that convenience for management matters more than working with tenants during stressful situations. Reason # 2 One of the constant problems here is with the parking gate. It seems like every 2 weeks, there is an issue with me being able to enter or exit the gate. I have had to call and wait for assistance, which has caused me to be late to multiple appointments. I’ve even had to pay $45 a few times just to leave to try and avoid being late. I currently pay $125 per month to park here (which i think is very high) so having to go through all of these hoops is very annoying. Reason #3 Another major inconvenience is access to the property during events. When there are games nearby, the roads are completely blocked off, making it impossible to get home for hours. I’ve had to sit and wait in parking lots until they open the roads back up just to return to my own apartment. Reason #4 There’s also alwayssssss at least 1-2 elevators not working. They break all the time. I heard about the elevator issue before I moved here and asked them if that issue was resolved and the leasing agent assured me that they no longer had that issue. Clearly that was not true. I’ve had to walk up 21 flights of stairs a few times just to get back in my home. Reason #5 Lastly, management shows little interest in retaining current residents. Renewal incentives are nonexistent as I’ve had at other places I’ve lived. Due to these ongoing issues, I will not be renewing my lease. I’m relocating from Columbus, which has been kind of stressful, but this visit made me feel a lot better about the move. I’ve looked at a bunch of places around Uptown, and The Reed stood out right away. They don’t have quite as many amenities as some of the other buildings, but the big windows and the views totally made up for that. The space just felt right. The views over Bank of America Stadium are a big highlight and make coming home feel special. When I first moved in, the management was just okay. They did what needed to be done, but there wasn’t much extra effort. That recently changed when Bozzuto took over as the new management company, and honestly, it’s been a breath of fresh air. In just the last month, they’ve done a complete deep clean of the building, inside and out. Carpet, tile, grout, upholstery—you name it, they cleaned it. The building looks better than it has in years. It’s actually kind of wild how much of a difference it’s made. The new team has also been super friendly, and the resident events they’ve hosted have been way more thoughtful and well put together compared to the past. March 29, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comThis place is HORRIBLE! Shootings all the time around the block. Elevators do not work, and you will have to walk up 20 flights of stairs. The window/walls leak and will mold the floors The pool that looks so cool is freezing and they have a heater but it doesnt work, and the gym is tiny. HORRIBLE
March 29, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comDO NOT LIVE HERE. The elevators do not work and you will have to walk 20 something flights of stairs. Peoples dogs pee and poop everywhere and in the elevators. There has been shootings all the time nearby and around the block. The staff is unhelpful and takes days to respond. Worst apartment complex
June 28, 2023 - Review from Apartments.comI've been living here for 1 month and my AC has been broken ever since I moved in. Maintainence has been in and out of my apartment almost every weekday for the past 3 weeks not having solved the issue while my wife attempts to work from home. All I'm given is excuses and to top it all off, after me repeatedly asking for a call back I never receive one. This is by far the worst apartment complex I've lived in and to add to it, you usually have 1 elevator at least two to three times a week for ...almost 11 floors of apartments. I could go on about how they randomly canceled my lease before I moved in or the leaking window that hasn't been addressed, or even the IT closet breaker that needs to be fixed but save yourself the trouble and don't move in here.Read More
Too Many problems
January 6, 2022 - Review from Apartments.comIn-person staff are great people and the majority of these issues are out of their control. 1) Elevators do not work majority of the time. 2) Frequent loud noises coming through vent. Other residents have this problem too. Wakes me from sleep. 3) No guest parking ANYTIME there is an event at bank of america stadium. That is unfair to residents, while building turns their back on us and charges $30 per visitor. Residents should be able to have 1 or 2 guests with how much we pay for monthly rent.
