Lease renewal experience Everything was fine until the last page when it came to the automatic sign up for the renter's insurance. (you call it something else) I had to go through a whole rigamarole to decline the coverage. It was very annoying and time consuming. It should not be automatic. I almost missed it because it was the last page. Very sneaky. My suggestion going forward is that you make it optional so the tenant just checks a box-yes to be enrolled or no- I already have coverage and ...
provide a space for the name of the insurance carrier and policy number. Other than that it was fine. The staff here at Auburn Hills was very helpful with the process.
