poor management and maintenance
August 5, 2023I recently moved in to what I was told would be a first floor unit and on the day I collected my keys I was then told it was a basement unit. Not entirely an issue until I moved in and found the unit to be so poorly sealed that the humidity inside nearly matched the outside. The A/C can barely keep up cooling the apartment because of its age and whenever a work order is placed to repair issues with it maintenance will take up to a week to respond. Obvious issues are met with disinterest as the ...HVAC is “working” not addressing any of the actual issues. I also have a “renovated” unit but be aware this means a few new appliances some nice countertops, floors and bad paint jobs while leaving gaps in the drywall big enough to put your arm through letting in unconditioned hot/humid air into your unit and an ancient HVAC. The outlets are so old they can barely hold what is being plugged into them so everything keeps falling out. I have seen more people move out than move in and I’m not surprised as I recently found out someone has lived in their unit without a working AC for over a month and are still awaiting their unit to be repaired. March 16, 2021We moved in during covid 19 so we did not get to see the apartment in person. The carpet was not new it has pet stains everywhere and apartment was cleaned poorly. Window sills had mold on them and are very drafty. We have had on going problems with our neighbors upstairs with being so loud and sounding like they are moving all of their furniture around from 10pm to 10am. Rachel says she talks with them but they get no consequences for being terrible tenants the entire year we've lived here. We ...were offered to move to another apartment at our own cost but having just had my stomach sliced open from a c-section and a newborn and the fact that we weren't the problem, we turned it down. If you enjoy peace and quiet or have children this is not for you. I do recommend this community if you smoke weed, cigarettes, want to stay up all night pounding on the floor, play loud music, dont want to pick up your dog poo and be an overall bad neighbor. DO NOT MOVE HERE
November 12, 2020DO NOT MOVE HERE. -Poor organization and accounting to the point that will cost you money you do not owe. They “forgot” to transfer our deposit when we went from a one bedroom to a two and we were assured it was corrected. It was not Management frequently completely unresponsive. Emails sent were completely ignored. I still have them.Management makes assurances they do not keep. They assured us that despite the previous owners animals (cat) peeing all over the apartment, everything was replaced. ...We quickly learned that wasn’t true when the apartment flooded and all of that smell wafted up from the sub flooring. Maintenance is completely incompetent and unresponsive. Example: shoddy maintenance on a toilet we requested to be fixed three times caused it to overflow while we were away and flooded our entire apartment. The maintenance response was to put down a fan on SOPPING WET CARPET. We complained to management several times but were moving out at that point, so unfortunately for us we didn’t continue to follow up. Their response when they did respond was just to keep soaking it up with towels, yeah our own towels. I had to replace all of my towels. The carpet still molded. They had the audacity to charge us for it, despite assuring me Rachel was aware and would fix it. They also refused to repair the bathroom because we had one that was operational so they were meeting the requirements of the law. Yeah, that’s a quote from the maintenance guy who threw down the fan. -Trash constantly overflowing at the compactor yet you pay a fee for this “service” on top of your rent. -Buildings frequently cleaned to LOOK nice, meanwhile their improper care will cost you hundreds in heating and cooling costs. Windows leak, doors leak, toilets leak, tubs leak, etc. -Not free cable. MANDATORY cable. AFTER all of this they didn’t bother to send us an itemized bill so I could remind Rachel of her and her office staff’s promises. Instead, nearly three years later I get a letter from credit collections. Immediately emailed Rachel, who ASSURED ME she would get back to me. 14 days later I sent her another email. She never responded. It’s was only when I disputed the charges with the credit collection agency that I was able to see what they charged us for and that she never fixed the deposit issue. August 18, 2015This building always pets. It has a pool and a gym you get to use for free. It is very quiet with a nice. They have up to 1-3 bedrooms with 1-2 bathrooms it is a very nice size. Usually if call maintenance they come the next day expect the weekend they come on Monday and he staff is very helpful and nice. There is even a golf course not too far away. There is a lot of the stores you need near you and restaurants.
