I currently live in this apartment, and at the end of January, someone hit my new car and ran away at parking lots. I know the exact date and time of the incident, and I reported it to the police. However, even though the police report exists, the apartment office keeps saying they cannot show me the security footage without a warrant or subpoena.
When I raised my safety concerns and requested to terminate my lease due to feeling unsafe, they said I would have to pay a termination fee. Even ...
though this incident happened within the complex, they responded, "This kind of thing can happen anywhere, and there's nothing we can do about it."
Basically, no matter what happens here, they won’t help residents. Once my lease is up, I am definitely moving out.
