I absolutely adore living here. My apartment is so comfortable and luxurious. I feel extremely safe in this community. The gym is large and has all the equipment you’d need. I love how they’ve maintained historical nature of this community while simultaneously building modern apartments. The staff is so helpful!!

From the very beginning, The Roe was envisioned as more than the renovation of a collection of historic buildings. We wanted to demonstrate how our community and our city could thoughtfully transition older, obsolete buildings into extraordinary places to live—preserving the beauty, character, and craftsmanship of previous generations while incorporating the technology, materials, engineering, energy efficiency, and modern conveniences found in the very best new construction. That vision required us to think differently about living space. We considered not only square footage, but volume—taking advantage of the remarkable ceiling heights and architectural character of these buildings. Floor plans were carefully designed and redesigned around how today's residents actually live, move through their homes, entertain, work, and spend time with their families. sustainability, comfort, and the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces were all part of those discussions.
Several years of planning, meetings, designs, and redesigns took place before construction even began. Construction itself continued for well over two years. Throughout that process, we were fortunate to work with an extraordinary group of architects, engineers, designers, skilled craftspeople, and construction professionals who understood that we had been given both an opportunity and a responsibility: to preserve something worth saving while creating something exceptional for the next generation.
Even today, when members of our team walk through The Roe, we feel an enormous sense of pride—not simply in the buildings we created, but in the community they have become.
