Great place to live
December 14, 2024Honestly, The Shores has everything that I need! I love the location, sometimes traffic gets a little spicy because of Paycom but it's manageable and really doesn't bother me. The office staff has been really friendly and generous with their time. Helping me relocate to OKC with the best recommendations has been above what I expect an apartment community staff to offer. The Shores are a great place to live.
November 11, 2024We’ve been here about 6 months and are really enjoying our new home. The apartment is roomy and love the outdoor environment. The pond is great for walking around and we see people catching fish all the time from catch and release pond. People that live here are friendly and the staff is great. Maintenance staff is great and work hard at keeping up the whole complex looking and running. The complex is quiet and peaceful. The play ground is nicely kept up and children seem to enjoy it. Lots of space!
October 29, 2024Apartments are spacious and modern. I love how close it is to the Paycom office. The fishing lake is a huge bonus too. I don't fish but it is really nice to hang out around and look at. They also have two pools rather than just one so I never see too many people at the pool at once... I also like that your rent can get reported to the credit bureaus to boost my credit score. Overall a great place in my opinion. :)Property Manager Responded

June 27, 2024I've been living at The Shores Apartments for a while now, and I must say it's been an exceptional experience. The management team, especially Faith, goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. Faith is always approachable, understanding, and genuinely cares about the residents. She handles any concerns with professionalism and a warm demeanor. Patrick, another valuable member of the management team, is equally impressive. He is always ready to assist and ensures that residents ...feel heard and valued. His commitment to creating a positive living environment is evident in his day-to-day interactions. A special shoutout to Arlington from the maintenance team! He is incredibly efficient and knowledgeable. Whether it's a minor fix or a significant repair, Arlington addresses maintenance issues promptly and effectively, always with a friendly attitude. August 29, 2022They add fees that shouldn’t be added then refuse to take them off your bill, many times charging the same fees twice but in different amounts and supposedly for different reasons that are supposed to make it okay. So shady. They have also added property tax before to my monthly bill when I don’t own this apartment, that’s the owner of the property’s tax to pay. Thankfully that charge they did remove when I contacted the office, but I can’t help but wonder how many residents paid it not ...realizing they shouldn’t be or how many are still paying it. Because if it was able to be added to my account by “mistake” then who knows how many mistakes are not being corrected. They force you to use a trash service that forgets to pick up the trash charging you 30.00 a month for the “service” then charge you again 17.00 more dollars each month also for trash. Meanwhile you have to take the trash out yourself anyway so just throwing away 30.00 a month and they act like their hands are tied and they just can’t let you cancel the service which is ludicrous. They can remove fees if they wanted to or credit the account. It’s not rocket science. They charge a utility fee of 5.95 a month on top of water and sewer charges and add admin fees and anything they feel like. They also never answer the phone at the office where you can only email them and many times get no response. Horrible communication. I usually have to take off work to go in person to the office to get ahold of anyone. There are spiders and bugs and everything is ran down and falling apart while they act like they are luxury apartments. I already have renters insurance but they still charged me for their own and refuse to take off the charges. The apartment itself has trouble staying heated and cooled and my electric costs tripled when I moved in here compared to my old apartment with a different company. I am very disappointed in my experience here as I thought this would be a long term home for me and I hate moving, but I don’t like being taken advantage of either so I will be moving when my lease is up.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Over $300 invalid charges
August 19, 2022I never leave reviews, but charges for something that’s not valid is ridiculous. Lived there two years and have heard from multiple people that they charge pet owners for new carpet when they move out. My carpet was exactly the way it was when I left as the day I moved in. They claim that there were pee stains which never happened. They pulled the carpet saying that that’s how they found them and that my pictures aren’t valid but while I was living there never saw other apartments get their ...carpet pulled after moving out- but they claim they do it to all apartments (not true). When I moved in there was dog hair everywhere from the previous tenant. Definitely didn’t move into new carpeting. Also puke and unknown substances in my trash cans that they provide. I know they’ve had multiple companies take over since I’ve been here, so there’s no way that they knew the condition of what was underneath my carpet when I moved in.
