Wasted potential - look elsewhere seriously!
November 2, 2023Lived here for two years, I had the best time moving in and really thought that I found a gem in LA where I could feel safe and thrive in the city! I promise that there are so many other management companies and complexes with competitive rates, this management was super welcoming for the first year that I lived here, but since then it's gone SO downhill! However, living here has presented a few problems - utilities are EXPENSIVE! It adds another 100-200 dollars every month (and I really thought ...this was the norm, silly me!) but living elsewhere has shown me it's not the norm at all - there have been issues of getting overcharged where management needs to send out an email to credit everyone for their mistake. The walls are incredibly thin, I had my TV volume at a level of 14 (out of 100) and had the patrol office let me know that I had to lower my volume due to a noise complaint. In addition to that, the elevators are broken around once a month - so if you're trying to get from your unit to your car, be ready to walk the entire complex and underground garage to get there! Moving out of my unit... There's a standard cleaning fee, which is fine, but be ready for the fun battle of getting your deposit back because they're going to charge standard painting fees even if you have dust marks from your furniture - even if you're paying for their full cleaning services - best get a magic eraser to clean your walls otherwise you'll be paying 500 dollars! Something that I wish we knew!Property Manager Responded
November 8, 2023Hello. Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback. It is unfortunate that you felt their was a decline in your living experience in your second year with us. We apologize if at any time you felt our customer service did not meet your expectations. Any concerns expressed or that may have been previously missed, we would certainly take the time to address. Residents at Villas at Park La Brea are responsible for paying utilities including, water, sewer, trash, electric, gas, phone, cable, and internet. As usage may vary in the community over time, utility charges can increase and decrease frequently. If we experience an elevator needing repair our vendor is contacted immediately and the repair is completed as soon as possible so our residents are not inconvenienced any longer than necessary. Here at Villas at Park La Brea we will make all efforts to resolve any situation where noise level is louder than acceptable apartment living standards. It is certainly understandable that ...above average noise can be disruptive, and our team always works with all neighbors involved to address these matters. Resolutions will be looked at and offered as necessary based on review of any reports of loud noise. I was unable to locate your information in our customer records to get an opportunity to look into your feedback more specifically. Please contact me at ICanHelp@aircommunities.com so we can assist further. We look forward to hearing from you. - Susan

Disrespectful
May 26, 2018Aimco Company that Villas goes along with, unfortunately the WORST company that can be doing any kind of renovation. The apartment is great by itself But before you will decide to move in make sure that Aimco not longer a part of this apartment complex.Property Manager Responded
June 1, 2018Hi there, Aimco has managed and operated Villas at Park La Brea for quite some time, but I appreciate that you enjoy the apartment! The renovations are now complete and residents are already enjoying their new in-unit washer/dryers and the new saltwater pool. Have a great day! -George

classic place to live
September 24, 2015I live at park La brea apartments and iconic property that's been around for about 67 years. What makes it iconic are the 13 towers and garden apartments. We have 4 fountains and it's in the center of Los Angeles shopping. It's located between Hollywood and beverly hills. You'll love live here.Review from Apartments.com

Villas at Park La Brea
August 13, 2015Our apartment complex has a lovely communal area that includes a gym, a swimming pool, hot tub, and a TV lounge. It's extremely well maintained and the customer service here is top notch! The apartment itself is spacious and has just the right amount of closet space that suits our needs. All the cool spots are pretty walkable around us. Bars, Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Bakeries, Workout studios, you name it. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a home, a community, and a ...sweet neighborhood like ours.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
