I am posting this review to hold management accountable for their handling of major habitability issues at The Vixen.
My central AC unit failed on June 26 after smoking and filling my home with a heavy burning plastic odor. For over three weeks during a Denver heatwave with outdoor temperatures approaching 100°F, my apartment remained unlivable. This was not an isolated incident—over 10 other tenants in the building suffered through identical AC failures and extended delays.

temporary response was completely inadequate. They provided a single portable AC, but because my apartment layout only has one window to accommodate an exhaust hose, running multiple units was impossible. Running this single unit continuously failed to cool the apartment, inflated my electric bill by 151%, and blew out the breaker to my microwave, which management has still failed to fix. Due to extreme indoor heat, compromised air quality, and an upcoming medical procedure, I was forced out of my own home to sleep elsewhere for multiple nights.
Despite weeks of documented displacement, health hazards, and surging utility costs, management refused a fair rent credit. Instead, they offered a minimal $500 courtesy credit that they initially tried to make contingent on signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to hide their failure. Management consistently ignores communications and only acts when subjected to external pressure. Prospective renters should be extremely cautious.

I am genuinely sorry for the frustration and disruption you experienced when your AC condenser was broken. I understand how difficult it is to be without air conditioning temporarily, particularly during a period of extreme summer temperatures, and I recognize the impact that an extended interruption can have on a resident’s experience in their home.
Our team worked diligently with our HVAC partners throughout this situation to address the equipment failures as quickly as possible and provided temporary cooling measures to you while repairs were underway. I appreciate your advocacy for the other residents who experienced this problem as well, we have been assisting them individually as they place work orders!
