The art selection at Denver Art Museum is everything you could expect, with more than you could possibly imagine. Holding a large number of permanent exhibits, while always also featuring plenty of traveling exhibits, there are a number of different styles and time periods to take in. They have a wide selection of Asian and African Art, holding the largest collection of African Art in the Rocky Mountain region, ranging from older works to today's top African artists. They also have a wide amount of American Indian art, from every number tribes and cultures from Canada to the United States. European and American art, of course, get plenty of exposure at their Berger Center, as well as plenty of Pre-Columbian and Spanish Colonial Art. Also featured is a wide variety of art from the Western United States, with special groups dedicated to finding and restoring regional art. There are plenty of educational opportunities at the museum as well, including a number of tours, classes, camps and special events. Whether you're a youngster or a teenager, there's some entertaining classes and camps for you to partake in, from classes in art production, to art production, to history of the region. Just make sure to hurry if you want to register, the spots fill up quick, and when they're gone, they're gone. For adults, they also feature art appreciation courses, as well as classes in composition, for skill sets from novice to professional.
