November 3, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comYou cannot escape the smell, I feel genuinely so bad for the kids that live here. It's outside, its in the hallways, and your door is not properly sealed so it will get in. They also have roaches and did NOT have the exterminator visit all the apartments that had roaches including mine, they did the bare minimum by giving us traps and really gross smelling bait so you cannot do anything legally about it. The neighbors are also constantly partying at all hours even last night I was woken up at 4am ...by the stench and loud music, it will get so loud your apartment will shake. Many of us have complained to the front office via calling AND going in person several times throughout this entire year (more than 10 times!!) and nothing has been done, we have told them exactly who has been doing it and where but they refuse to take action even though smoking has been banned here. Go anywhere else.Read More

I've never had any issues and they're transparent. The apartments are modern, my unit was renovated right before I moved in. Location is good as well. Close to Great Lakes Crossing as well as the Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills areas.

Now we are finally in our first 1 year lease and it’s amazing. Our apartment is well maintained and updated, the apartment security is supreme. February 26, 2018 - Review from Apartments.comI am a student at Oakland University. Wind Song Apartments was a reasonable price for two roommates. We lived there for almost two years. The services is great! Anytime we had an issue there was someone to fix it that day or they'd call and reassure us about services for the following day. My favorite part about the apartments is the security. There are locks with key fobs for each building with security cameras. Its a quick 5 minute ride to the University and only 10 minutes to downtown ...Rochester. The ladies in the office are my fav!!!!Read More

Over the past few years I have watched them slowly update everything. It has maintained landscape, clean halls between apartments, friendly maintenance, and generally speaking nice neighbors. Office ladies even remember and greet the kids when they see them. We are only leaving because of work.
A Place to call home
May 17, 2017 - Review from Apartments.comI have lived at the Wind Song Apartments for about 2 years now. From day one the on-site staff has been amazing. We can always drop in and say hello to the property managers in the office or give a friendly wave to the amazing maintenance team. We know them and they know us, and they never enter your apartment without your consent (or plenty of warning if the government wants to do an inspection). The Location: Wind Song is a mere 3 miles from Oakland University. It is a fantastic place to be ...off campus with more freedom and space than a dorm would offer. Wind Song is also 3-4 miles from Great Lakes Crossing Mall. It is located near 75 which makes traveling to Detroit or across the state easy. The Property: The apartments themselves are very clean. Last year they upgraded to a keyless entry system that is more secure than a normal key that can be copied. Inside, the apartments are very clean. The entire apartment was cleaned and carpet replaced before we moved in. Whenever we have a problem, we can call maintenance and they will take care of it. So far we've had several things fixed from a leaky faucet to a broken garbage dispenser (It wasn't me I promise). They even upgraded our shower faucet when they noticed it was one of the older models while fixing something else. All of these fixes and upgrades came without cost or complaint from the staff. The Community: The community at Wind Song is great. The staff often throws holiday and seasonal parties for the residents. Since moving in 2 years ago, there has been summer parties at the pool, holiday parties in the office with food and beverage, and several friendly photo competitions like Cutest Couple and Best Friends. We've met some amazing neighbors at these parties. The neighbors in general are very good. Because of the location, many of them are college students and are generally very quiet. Maybe after Finals week you'll hear a party on the weekend, but they earned it right? Conclusion: I am so glad that we chose Wind Song over other apartments we were looking at when we moved in. We even toured another apartment complex that had a shady individuals, staff that barely spoke English, and bars on the windows, and a smaller living space FOR THE SAME PRICE. Wind Song is an amazing value and a great place to call home. In 2 years, we've never had any major issues. The staff is always there to answer questions or to fix up that door that started squeaking. 10/10 would rent here again.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

September 28, 2016 - Review from Apartments.comI had the pleasure of living here for about a year and a half and if it weren't for extenuating circumstances I would have lived here until I bought a house. This place is probably the best deal you can get for sqft per dollar wise around the area, and they just redid the entrance to the clubhouse very nicely. The management and maintenance were swift when called to fix something. There were a few incidents where some trouble makers caused scenes but management swiftly removed them. The ONLY ...gripe I have is the laundry room, there is only one in each building with 4 washers and 4 dryers while the buildings hold 18 total apartments, so it was sometimes hard to find a washer. But nontheless if you want to find a cheap place to live where the staff actually cares about you then choose the Windsong!Read More
