money grabbers, liars, don’t care about tenants
January 13, 2021Do not rent here!!!!! Me and my girlfriend complained about our upstairs neighbors for about 2 months, and absolutely nothing was done about it because they believed whoever lived above us. It was so bad that we couldn’t sleep through the night and could hear it over our TV. Even their adjacent neighbor confirmed the noise. Our only option they gave us was to move apartments, which costed us 900 dollars. On top of that, they are straight up liars. Gina in the leasing office told me when I ...turned in the keys that “there was an issue she needed to attend to, it might be awhile before we can do a move out walk” so, I said just look at it yourself. About half way to my unit I forgot to clean out the mail box, went down to get the key, (maybe a minute for two tops) and they were ALREADY IN THE APARTMENT!!!!!! Of course they took our whole deposit, and said we “declined a move out walk with them” DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!Property Manager Responded

Awesome experience so far
December 15, 2020I just moved in this week and so far I love it. The leasing agent Stephanie is such a pleasure to work with. I had a service request to fix my dryer machine and they took care of it right away, the technician was super friendly and very careful to take COVID precautions while in the apartment. The building smells so clean and good. Appliances and everything works amazing and looks beautiful. All around I am so happy I chose to live here.Property Manager Responded

Worst experience ever
March 14, 2020This is the worst apartment experience my family had ever been through. I live near the weight room and can hear the weights drop all throughout the day. I’ve been complaining for 4 months and no accommodations have been made. I know other tenants near the area also complain about the noise from the weights dropping. January 26, 2019We moved into our 2-bedroom unit in June and couldn’t be happier. I’ve lived all over SF and we were priviously ina cramped apartment in Uptown. This is definitely the nicest place I’ve ever lived! The apartments are spacious and quiet, and our patio easily fits a table, two chairs, and a bunch of plants. We look out onto a sweet courtyard with fire pits, and it’s a pleasure to have breakfast out there on the weekends. January 25, 2019We moved in the late summer on a 15-month lease. It's a beautiful new building; residents and staff work together to keep the building neat, tidy, and user friendly. We live in an Uptown layout with a fantastic view of downtown Oakland. The patio / BBQ area and small gym are nice bonuses; plus indoor storage for bicycles. I really appreciate how much the Town 29 staff try to bring events (Halloween, Friendsgiving, Brunch, Yoga) to the building residents to enjoy. January 23, 2019Located in Pill Hill between Temescal and Downtown Oakland, it’s a great location if you’re looking for an urban vibe. Lots of eateries nearby if you’re a foodie. My wife and I moved into a studio apartment as part of the first phase when the complex started taking in tenants. Brand new complex so it always feels like moving into a new home. The design Is sleek and modern. Open to all tenants, a fitness center, BBQ terrace, lounge area in the lobby, multiple courtyards. An enclosed garage ...for parking with a car port system (very city-like). Great Studio
January 23, 2019We moved to Town29 when it opened. The studio apartment is an adequate size, modern design, big windows allowing lots of daylight overlooking a big street, nice kitchen with lots of cabinet and good appliances, roomy bathroom with washer and dryer which is a plus, and non carpeted flooring throughout. The management is very helpful and friendly, and they organize wonderful events such as holiday parties and yoga. The property is very clean, smells good, well maintained and organized, with a new ...awesome gym, quiet hallways and security guard at night. Residents are respectful with lots of young professionals and small families. Parking is pricey, but it is private. Great place to live
December 20, 2018I was one of the first people to move into Town29 and I am so happy with my decision to do so. Great management, always there when you have questions comments or concerns. Anytime I have people over they are in awe of the building and amenities. Everything is brand new and so nice. I couldn’t reccomend this place enough! The only downside is parking in the garage is very expensive, and it’s near impossible to find street parking. I have gotten a few tickets. modern, fun and clean
December 18, 2018I moved into Town29 around the summer and the process was pretty seamless -- applied online and someone followed up regarding my application. I initially visited the property before applying and was really impressed with the rooms. The place is very modern, clean and has very nice amenities - gym, dog wash station, BBQ terrace. The management does a good job keeping the property clean as well. They also host events like yoga, holiday parties, happy hours to allow you to get to know people in the ...building -- which is always a nice plus! The property manager does a good job responding to inquiries and other problems. We had reported a noise problem recently and she handled it in a timely manner. No out-of-the-ordinary issues for a brand new apartment. The rental price is pretty affordable considering how new it is and what they offer.
