Great atmosphere!
April 15, 2025Had to move out here for some temporary work and it was really easy to move in! Angela helped me with my paperwork and was very easy to work with! A nice area with parks nearby and everything seems nice! The building is a bit older but maintenance will come and fix things and keep it nice. Over charged, old and dated
December 21, 2020The Trails in Alabaster, are nice, great location, good community. The apartment has roaches, it is old and dated. I had knats through the whole place which was never resolved. The walls are thin, and nosy neighbors. The rental office, can't keep anyone in there. They always take at least 4 days to respond. They charged me for trash service, and never picked it up. I took out my own trash. My mother got ill in Illinois, so I informed them I would be moving, but that I would still ...pay the rent to fullfill my lease. After 3 months, they sent a final bill for over $1000 which included a Reletting fee, even though my lease is up AND I paid my rent all the way through. I will Be filing a small claims court to get my money back if this isn't resolved. I was told by the agent that i could pay the rent, and terminate at lease end, even though I didn't live there. Definitely do NOT recommend.Property Manager Responded

1 Year Impression
September 28, 2020Its okay. I had a first floor apartment with the wood floors and it looked great. Plenty of space. Add about $50 to your monthly rent for charges like: trash removal, insurance, and security. It is normally quiet but this is an *affordable* complex. You'll get neighbors from all different types of backgrounds including ones who tend to party into the night or ones that you may never know exist.Property Manager Responded

May 26, 2019I have been here a number of years and the complex has changed management several times — sometimes to the better, more often to the worse. Rules change without notification, and when that fact is questioned, you’re likely to be told the rules were always that way. Service calls take a long time to be addressed, though the maintenance staff is excellent. Calling in an after-hours emergency yields no results. No attempt is made to dissuade residents leaving trash on the ground. Repairs take ...forever to be made. All this while the current rent continues to go up. The company that owns the complex, GWR, is no help either. They are as indifferent as the on-site management is condescending and rude. Take my advice. This is one of the best places I have applied for and I think this is a great choice for others when searching for a place to live. September 3, 2016This has been THE WORST experience I've ever had living somewhere. There should be a no stars option. The basics: When I first moved in (August 2015) I didn't have the "accessories" that they advertise. No stainless steel. No garbage disposal. Apparently those are "additional luxuries" that when I asked point blank during the initial tour the manager lied to my face about. The carpets were nasty. There was no shower head. There's no lock on the sliding door (LUCILY they told me there's an ...aluminum bar to keep my home secure. What a joke) Then, the dishwasher I had was old and would not even run water through it. After 3 times of them coming out, they finally replaced it (3 months later). Then, my refrigerator was leaking puddles of water. They sent someone out twice and all he did was clean up the water. They replaced it after 2 months. Then my air went out and the "emergency Maintenance" wouldn't answer the phone or return my calls. Now let's get to the FLEA INFESTATION that lasted 2 MONTHS. I don't mean a few fleas. Literally fleas EVERYWHERE. They were in the front and back grass areas. They were in the breezeway, and in my apartment I was killing anywhere from 20-50 fleas A DAY for 6 weeks while using flea bombs and bug spray to keep us from getting bitten. I called the corporate office and made them aware. The hot water never runs more than luke warm. Speaking of water... There are 3 meters for the entire complex meaning everyone pays the same based on apartment size regardless of what you actually use. This place is absolutely horrible. Please DO NOT move here. July 30, 2015This place is terrible. They lack maintenance men with drive to actually get your problems solved. I had a leaking room in my master for 3 weeks before they even came to fix it, they came twice and left and still havent put the popcorn cieling back up and this was months ago and we have even asked about it. Your rent will fluxuate more then the weather, and the grounds are poorly taken care of.Review from Apartments.com
