Our Turing Experience
November 10, 2022We have been greatly enjoying our stay at Turing at the Fields – from the building construction, apartment design, nice surroundings, amenities, the closeness to all kinds of stores and services that meet our needs, its services to residents, etc. However, the one thing that we love the most is the quality people of the leasing office that have been in contact with us since our first visit to the Turing facilities – who are more interested in searching and looking for solutions to the clients’ ...needs rather than just reciting what Turing has to offer. This operational culture translates into an efficient way of providing the precise and prompt response to the unexpected situations or special needs of its residents. This is a big behavioral difference from the personnel in the many other apartment complexes that we visited in our search for the right apartment for us to live. This truly is the best decision we have made in our process of relocating to California.Property Manager Responded

DO NOT RENT HERE! paper thin ceilings and walls
May 14, 2022Do not rent here! The walls and ceilings are paper thin. A person walking in the above apartment will cause an earthquake in your apartment. A decent apartment building will have less number of floors in the same building height to have sufficient space between floors but not this one. I believe I now know the routine of the people above me. When they wake up. When they cook. When they sleep. Pretty interesting research.Review from Apartments.com
Keep looking
March 4, 2021The property management has been pretty ineffective in managing facilities and bad-actor residents. To be fair, some in management have been terrific. And we've had prompt attention from Maintenance in our apartment. That said there are some persistent issues that keep this from being a superior choice for some people. I'll limit this review to one example to be concrete: Several times a week since we moved in 18 months ago, we have to face smelly trash plunked right down on the floor in front ...of the trash chutes and lining the walls. I find that the trash chutes are usually clear or maybe needing a nudge. So some neighbors just drop the trash and leave. Many residents (myself included) have posted about this issue with photos, called, and spoke in person. Rather than implementing reasonable things like signage or contacting offending owners (addresses are usually visible on the exposed trash), management decided to penalize the rest of us by tripling our trash bills over the last 3 months. But there is more, much more - perhaps we'll cover that in another review. If you come, you will see that the place looks beautiful. You will not get to see what living here is really like. It's way overpriced compared to other beautiful places nearby. Seriously I recommend you pass on this place until there is more effective management.Property Manager Responded

Saftey concerns + mismanagement. Residents are not happy.
February 5, 2021The only thing Luxury about Turing is the price. I have lived at Turing for over a year, before covid started and my major issues are: - Many instances of car break ins. (Smashed windows, stolen property) - Many stolen packages from the mailroom. (Mismanagement of mailroom in general) There is not enough security and the few security guards do not seem competent. Also noise is a common problem. Footsteps can often be heard from upstairs neighbors. The overall aesthetic and amenities are nice, ...however, during covid when many of the amenities are closed it does not make much of a difference. Security is a big concern here!!!
January 27, 2021I have been living here for 6 months now and here is what I have observed. While the apartment itself is nice, there are a lot many issues that have forced us to consider moving out as soon as possible: 1. Lot of car break-ins and cycle thefts 2. Amazon parcel thefts 3. Non residents in access controlled areas like mailroom. No action taken against it 4. Storage room break-ins 5. A lot of noise from construction and VTA 6. The property manager Rebecca is very rude. Multiple community members ...complain about the same. 7. Over charges for utilities. They have doubled the trash cost without letting the community know and when we confronted Rebecca about it, she denies it outright We moved here since it’s a luxury apartment complex however it’s no way close. Great Looks, but other issues
August 19, 2020Close to Great Mall and VTA, as well as to 680, 880 and the airport. Floorplans are spacious, appliances are modern. Choice of internet providers, including a reseller named CSS which is very reliable. EV charging is being installed, it was supposed to be available in July but still is not ready for use as of today's writing. The pool is very large with a hot tub and top notch - probably the best I've seen in the Bay Area. There are some serious noise issues in our unit. It is common to hear TV ...or phone conversations through the wall in either bedroom of our apartment. If you live in a unit below a floor with no carpeting, footsteps and loud vibrations/shaking are very possible depending on how noisy your neighbors are. We have contacted security patrol and have been told by the guards there is nothing they can do. There have been several car break-ins over the course of our time here. It is not uncommon for the mail room to be overflowing with packages, left outside of the secure lockers they are supposed to be delivered to. Some residents have posted about misdirected or missing packages on the internal apartment social networking board. There is also a train track right next door to the property, with cargo trains that come through at various times of the day and night. We and several other residents are currently experiencing an ant infestation, which from prior posts on the building's internal social network, is not a new occurrence. There have also been elevator breakdowns. Management did offer to transfer us to a top floor apartment, but given the other issues, it is a hard sell.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Terrible
January 8, 2020I have hated living in this building. Between constant construction noise starting at 6am, packages being lost, trash in the hallways, tv/internet that goes down constantly, it’s always something. I tried to sublease for months but no one wanted this place. Do not rent here. There are always issues.Review from Apartments.com
