Terrible Customer Service
January 30, 2023I have reached out to the office twice regarding additional information about a certain unit during business hours. Immediately I received an email stating that the office is closed and to contact them back during business hours that was at 10:21 am. It clearly states that the office hours are from 9am-6pm for Monday, it is now the end of the day and I have yet to hear anything from anyone. I guess that's a sign of how any request made to the front office will be handled. Glad I haven't wasted ...too much of my time, not a good first impression at all.Property Manager Responded

Not worth the stress and hassle dealing with management.
April 10, 2021I have lived here previously during the early 2010s and from management to maintenance team there were absolutely no issues. I came back to Villas due to the aforementioned positive experience after I sold my house to downsize. Unfortunately this past year at Villas however was filled with negative experiences. Noisy and inconsiderate upstairs neighbors which the o management was unable to resolve , unprofessional (current) office staff, plus the worse of all, hazardous mold in our apartment due ...to a bad leak from the exterior drywall/roof. The only positive of living in this complex was the excellent maintenance team and their great work and timing to fix any issues. The buildings and appliances however are aging badly and desperately need some sort of renovation (painting the exterior does not cover the issues that come with aging buildings). The villas at West Road is situated at a great location, close enough to the freeways, stores and restaurants, it is unfortunate that they do not have the proper office staff to uphold their claim to be a “luxury” apartment.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Not entirely horrible, nothing spectacular either
January 29, 2021The best feature of this complex is their maintenance team, which always tackles any work orders promptly and is always courteous and respectful. Management however is incompetent in resolving issues regarding noisy neighbors and yard work as early as 7 A.M, as well as pet owners don’t pick up after their pets. The apartment buildings are nice with available attached garages, the only downside is that they are old and dated, and due for a renovation (resulting in more frequency maintenance/work ...orders). The entire community is very well lit at night and safe for the most part, and there is a police officer on site 24/7 which is a huge contribution to keeping order. Overall, it’s an average apartment complex, not the luxury apartment they advertise and claim to be.Property Manager Responded

November 1, 2019I lived in these apartments a while back, thinking about moving back to the area so I thought why not check these out again since the first time I had no problems. Walked in to talk to someone about looking at an apartment and I dont think I've ever run into people so disinterested in leasing an apartment in my life. So first, to the leasing agents - thanks for helping me make the decision of NO- I would never live here again, quick and easy for me. I can imagine what your residents have to go ...through. (and confirmed through other reviews) She wouldnt even take the time to actually look to see when a certain floor plan would open up or offer to check out any of the other options. She gave the absolute minimum and that was only because I had to continually ask questions, no information was ever offered. Different management company since Ive lived here last and apparently its gone downhill.Property Manager Responded

Please stay safe and save your money!
August 18, 2016We lived at The Villas for 3 years and there was a drastic shift in the last year. The new management is horrible and I think my child would do a better job. The complex has really become unrully and management just turns their head. There is no security on the property and maintenance is really lacking, the complex is huge and there are only 2 or 3 people trying to manage it. The management is smug and disrespectful. We gladly paid all the rate increases until it got to where we were having our ...apt fill with smoke because our neighbor would BBQ in his garage. We made legitimate complaits and the managment couldn't even go check on it. They ask that we get back to them, when I'm paying that much, get off your behind and come see what the problem is. They started charging a trash fee so we would have door pick up but the trash still stacks up outside like it's a dump. January 23, 2016Went to visit this apartment complex . Was looking for a 1 Bd / 1 Bath. On the 687 Sq Ft this website says the rent is between $800 - $1,135.00. Not really. The rent for this one on a 6 month lease , the rent is $1,345.00 / month. Deceiving advertising.Review from Apartments.com
Convenient location with shopping and restaurants in walking distance
October 7, 2015Been at these apartments for over a year and a half because they are close to beltway 8 and there are grocery stores nearby as well as decent restaurants. The complex has a small decent pool, which residents do utilize during the summer. The complex is cat and dog friendly - tons of doggie parents out walking their dogs. We Will Be Sorry to Leave When the House is Done!!!!
September 9, 2015My name is Devon Daigle and I currently reside at Villas at West Road. We came in June 2015 on a 4 month lease bc we sold our townhome and are building the forever house! Jane and the entire team at VAWR are so great to work with ... from my first call NOT sure at all what we needed and just inquiring to lease signing to planning to move out in a couple months when house is done Jane has been very involved! We rent a unit with a garage and its a single garage, this thing is HUGE and has my ...ENTIRE TOWNHOME in it! We only unpacked a bed and a dresser and the couch with TV stand for the living room .... The garage kept us from spending an extra $250/mo on a separate storage unit off site! It has been a god send to have everything right out my kitchen door!!! If i need something I just go grab it out of a BOX!!! The rent for the short lease with the garage unit was VERY fair! The valet trash service is awesome, it will be HARD to go to 2 day a wk trash service at the new house! The pool is great, I had my mom group over for a swim play date and everyone raved about the complex and pools. We couldn't be more happy though bc of ONE major PLUS! We are building to get our daughter to a great school.... VAWR is zoned to one of the schools that was on my very short list of schools we want to live by...GLEASON ELEMENTARY!!! The bus stops RIGHT OUT FRONT! I just drive to the apartments parking lot and wait! This has been a blessing and the only EASY part of this entire ordeal of fixing the townhouse up, listing, selling, moving, and building!!! Thanks so much for having us it will be sad to move in October 2015! Hector in Maintenance is a true gem! July 22, 2015The Villas are a beautiful place to live. I feel safe there compared to other complexes in the surrounding area. It is always clean. The staff is very helpful.
