Roaches
January 27, 2021I broke my lease at this property due to roaches. No not sewer roaches, I’m talking discussing German roaches that the exterminator confirmed. I lived in building 9. I got my apt serviced by exterminators over 4 times within 2 months. I broke my lease 3 months in. I noticed the bugs a couple days after move in. No I did not have bugs prior. I was pissed and asked the tenants that lived behind me if they had them as well as the tenant below me and they confirmed they did a couple months before I ...even moved in. They stated they were gone and returned. I immediately reached out to the office again via phone and email and also asked the tenant if he could put himself on the exterminator list. I kept putting myself on the list but it’s pointless if the building has them. The exterminator said he did the whole building after my third visit. I kept emailing. Vicki advice was to put bleach down my drain lol. Bleach is not gonna stop nasty roaches that are in the walls. I told them it’s the small ones not sewer. How come no one wants to exterminate? How am I the only one that cares about the health factor regarding their residence? I have asthma so I was nervous about so many treatments. But the exterminator confirmed I would be ok. It still is gross especially when you pay to live on the north side. I have all the records as I wanted to make sure everything was on record regarding this issue. I moved out, left the apartment in great standing. They raised the rent and rented the same apartment out no more than 2 weeks later. I moved out Jan 15 2021. I am on a payment plan for breaking my lease right now. I owe around $1000. They took my deposit to pay some of the lease breakage fee. Horrible company. The only thing good about villas is the worker Tina and the maintenance supervisor that came when lol my stove wasn’t working and then my heat/ac wasn’t working. Yea all this when I moved in end of aug and gave notice to vacate in November. I had to stay another 60 days in order not to get more fees per horrible tone Vicki the asst property manager. This review is honest. I have pics and videos and emails. You’d think they would waive my termination fee. But I’d gladly pay it out as I’m happy I’m out of there. SAVE YOUR TIME
December 10, 2019Do you want your prices to go up because they can... if you sign your lease of course. Do you like unexpected charges and poor mamífero al assistance? Then this is the place for you. There are two ladies, the assistant manager and leasing specialist... they’re wonderful and deserve better than this place has to offer them. But management needs a big sign in front stating “UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT” Other than that, it has been over six months since my bedroom sliding mirror doors have been properly ...fixed. That I can deal with, but what is unexceptionable in my book is how this company (HSL) and the manager at this complex handles their issues. I have confirmed with several other renters how unpleasant it is to work with the main manager and higher ups. Rachel. They dismiss your problems and sweep them under the rug even when you have documented proof of actions being followed to their specification. Save your time and please go else where. Not to mention they’ll raise your rent and charge fees because they can if you sign your lease. I’ve had my attorney look over the lease and even he was confused about the wording. Old outdated run down apartments
December 4, 2019Have only been living here a month and looking for a new place. When I moved in everything was broken, carpet was stained and torn coming up from the floor. Washer and dryer not energy efficient as well as being a half load size. Both didn't work upon move in and stackable from the 70s. When it rains the windows leak cause the living room floor to become flooded and carpet soaked from rain water. They still have not fixed it. Office personnel rude and unprofessional. Asking personal questions ...about packages you receive. Parking is awful and completely nonfunctional. They give you a assigned parking space but its 3 or 4 buildings away meaning you have to dump your groceries on the sidewalk and go park your car. Police here every night at someone's apartment. Completely not safe neighborhood. Do not move here, worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Not to mention the 2 br 2 bath is awkward shaped and can not even fit a normal couch and loveseat.Property Manager Responded

October 4, 2015This was the first apartment I started renting at in my life, but from the way they treat us down to how quickly our maintenance comes by everything is great. The services and amenities are wonderful and the people in the office are always there to help as quickly as possible. I sent in a service request for a change in the ceiling lights and they came by within the hour. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and I never have any complaints. Great with little complaints.
July 20, 2015Just moved into the apartment 2 weeks ago and we like it a lot! It's huge compared to our old apartment in VA. Nice size, nice floor plan, W/D, dishwasher etc. Just some weird quirks: the shower head won't fit a shower caddy so when i tried to buy when of those shower caddies that stand up against the back corner of the shower of course it doesn't fit because of the way the shower is shaped. Minor annoyance. The W/D is tiny....very tiny. I doubt it can wash queen sized comforters. I'll be buying ...my own W/D very soon. Other than that no complaints. Safe complex. Alarm system in every unit. Complex has its own security guards, as well as covered parking and if you shell out extra money you can get an actual garage for your car.
