The maintenance staff is fairly responsive but nothing they've done has helped at all. I suspect this has something to do with us being so close to the trash chute and other residences not properly following instructions. I wish the staff were a bit more proactive about this. I wouldn't mind if trash chutes were closed for a bit so that people feel more compelled to actually follow the rules. I've also felt a bit ...unsafe a couple of times while in the elevator or in the lobby. There isn't much security so I've had a couple strange encounters that made me a bit nervous. Besides some small maintenance issues, it felt like a decent new home. There were, however, many issues with the leasing office. Poor communication amongst the staff translated into even worse miscommunication with us, the residents.
