About Walter Dods, Jr. RISE Center
The Walter Dods, Jr. RISE Center is a student community where you can live, collaborate, and innovate all in one place. Offering single and double (2 person) apartments only steps away from the University of Hawaii Manoa campus. We offer 5, 10 and 12 month leases starting August 14, 2026. Leases are individual and by the bed space so a single will be $1,500 and a double is $925 each. In partnership with the PACE program, our community provides everything you need to prepare for success, including prototyping labs, a recording studio, and even our own Island Brew Coffeehouse to fuel a productive day.

June 23, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comI absolutely love living at RISE! The modern amenities are fantastic, especially having AC in every room. Having Island Brew Coffeehouse and the PACE program right in the building creates such a unique environment and I love grabbing a coffee on my way to study. The scholarship opportunities are also an incredible resource. Plus, you can't beat the location, it's so convenient being right across the street from campus and just steps away from the gym, bookstore, and food court!Property Manager Responded

Great alternative to campus housing
June 23, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comI've been living at Rise for 3 years since it opened in 2023. My experience has been great. I wasn't chosen off the waitlist until school started. luckily I was able to get a spot at Rise the same day of move-in. The building has many security features such as multiple key fob entrances and onsite secuirty over night. its cleanly and a great modern option for students who either need or want AC.
