      • Negative Experience

        August 4, 2023
        Property did not honor their “first come first serve” application policy. Very unhappy & disappointed in the service provided, and the lack of integrity/honor they complied with in regards to their policy. We paid for two application fees as well, totaling to $100. We were the first people to submit an application for the apartment, and pay the fee, and in less than 24 hours they rented the apartment from underneath us to someone else who applied after us.

I’d like to add that we take pride in our customer service and always strive to treat everyone fairly. This is why we have policies— to assure everyone is treated the same, consistently. With the application process, you are correct— apartments are assigned on a first come, first serve basis, depending on the order of applications received. A completed application consists of: completed application with the information from the individual who plans to occupy the apartment, completed guarantor application (if needed), and the paid application fee. In your case, we were still awaiting your completed application, and someone submitted theirs prior to us receiving yours. You were contacted to let you know the apartment had been rented, and when you submitted your application after the fact, I even agreed to refund you that application fee. I’m sorry you feel we lack integrity, however we feel ...

        I'm writing this review on behalf of my daughter (and myself). We were nervous for her to live by herself during her final year at ECU. Wesley South provided the perfect home for her. It is a well maintained, safe, and affordable apartment. Whenever she had an issue (which were few), she received an immediate response. The property manager, Jessica, is so incredible to work with.         This is my first apartment and so far I've been living here a year and I love it. It's a nice community, pet friendly, great price, it feels very safe, staff is very nice, maintenance normally responds very quickly, overall very nice to live here! As for hearing stuff through the walls I rarely hear my neighbors but I can hear them, but I may just have quiet neighbors. I strongly suggest living here!

        Don't get me wrong the apartment we living in are nice. But the only bad thing is you can hear everything that's going on next door. Sometimes its even hard to fall asleep. Also their pipping need some fix! When we get out the shower there would be water coming out from the bottom of the toilet and the sink if you let the water run for a while.

        I've lived at Wesley South for two years. I was initially nervous to live alone in Greenville, but now I can't imagine doing it any other way. I always feel safe at this location. The apartment itself is average, nothing too flashy, but it is great for young adults just starting out and you can't beat the price. I've never had any problems with the apartment. Living room is large, bedroom is a little tight with a king size bed, dresser and desk, but still works. Washer and dryer hookup are in one ...
        of the closets, it's nice to be able to shut them away. First floor has fenced in backyard with rocks and second floor has balconies. VERY pet friendly and make it very convenient to clean up after your pet. The ECU bus stops right outside the entrance, which is convenient for students. Friendly staff and neighbors. Maintenance is also quick with any request. I'd recommend Wesley South to anyone.
