Poor Management, Not Quality Living
December 5, 2023The first year of living here was great, but this past year has been progressively worse and worse. I truly don’t know what’s happened but the management and office is awful. The final straw occurred for me yesterday. I have been unable to use the apartment amenity gym that I AM PAYING FOR AS A RESIDENT because every SINGLE time I am in the gym, there are personal trainers with people taking up multiple pieces of equipment. I do not understand how this is allowed that trainers who are residents ...can make money off a free included amenity and how people who are residents can let trainers in who are not residents. Someone even left business cards in the gym once which was incredibly distracting. As a result they take up all the space, get upset when something is used, and don’t care when equipment is broken (the gym equipment is ALWAYS broken). Which as a resident I’m then paying for. And the office staff are an absolute joke because yesterday when a trainer was training multiple people the office staff walked around and said NOTHING. Due to circumstances I had to leave the gym I pay for as a resident earlier than I wanted to because of this. Also say goodbye to personality. You can’t decorate your apartment at all but then they still want to look good cause they’re in Westchase. We got a VIOLATION for a Welcome Sign at our front door. But now they want to look good while being absolutely awful to residents. The trash areas were cleaned up once and now they’re an absolute disaster. Our apartment is near some of the trash cans and the area is barely even able to be stepped around because the ground is littered with trash. Personally I cannot wait to move out in only a couple months. This place is ridiculous. Please think before considering moving here.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Have been a resident for years, never a late payment, and have been understanding from the start despite several major issues (moved into a dirty pet-hair-covered apartment, 25 nails found in driveway after roof repair, trash in trees never removed, etc.) Community manager made a false promise about apartment upgrades (alongside ++$500/mo price hikes) and was out of office during the two ...weeks we could have resigned, making it impossible to get a re-written lease agreement to include her empty promise. Told us today after we re-signed that she decided not to approve the agreed upon apartment improvements upon which our lease agreement was verbally contingent upon. Poor management hurts what could be great apartments
June 18, 2021Unfortunately, I am unable to recommend West Park Village for anyone looking for an apartment. For the pros, the neighborhood itself, around West Park Village, is nice. Generally quiet, plenty of decent restaurants in either walking distance or a short drive. The problems are with West Park Village itself. If you move into West Park Village, especially if you suffer from asthma like myself, you better hope you do not have any neighbors that smoke. I’ve had for over two months as of writing this ...review an issue with a smoking neighbor where their cigarette smoke fills my apartment, to the point where it causes issues with breathing and I have even had to leave my own apartment to stay elsewhere. The office couldn’t care less, however. The office staff will offer empty platitudes, and the property manager will all but tell you to just learn to deal with it. It took over a month of near daily pestering to get someone to help seal holes and such to try to cut down the issue, to which they came, did a few things, said they would be back, and then closed the ticket and never came back. Another month later I was told after more pestering the office that they would come back but have still yet to have any assistance. You will be left on your own with zero care or assistance from the office about health concerns or issues. Less specific to my current issues is their maintenance guarantee is deceitful. They offer a 48-hour guarantee on maintenance issues however the catch is their automated system saying someone will review the ticket counts as the response. It could, as it has for many of my tickets, take longer than 48 hours before you actually hear anything about the issue or have anyone actually look at it. If you question why issues take so long the only response is that they are short staffed and prioritizing emergencies and such. This has been an issue for over two years. It’s not a problem of too many issues, but a problem of managements refusal to staff properly it seems. When I moved in the walkway in front of my apartment flooded and I was told they were aware of the issue and would soon be fixing it. Two years later it is still an issue. Both residents of the complex and the surrounding houses all too often don't pick up after their dogs and allow their dogs to pee in apartment breezeways leaving messes.Property Manager Responded

West Park Village
May 7, 2021The community, the people from all walks of life make the village at West Park thrive. It’s pricy but you get what you pay for. Most units are updated, the maintenance teams are amazing and in most cases will address any related issues the same day. Walking distance to two villages and over 2 dozen shops with boutiques, pubs, gyms and salons.Everyone feels overall safe and loves the West Chase community.Property Manager Responded

BE warned! Price Hikes and poor management!
April 6, 2021Be warned- the security deposit will NEVER be returned. They didn't even discount my initial security deposit to the move out bill they sent me. The apartments are old, cheap carpet and laminate, with a need of caulking throughout the bathrooms. The garbage fee is $50 for a bin that costs $5, was cheap plastic and constantly broken or stolen, and the garbage dump a few feet away. The pool was filthy with leaves and debris that majority of the time that I lived there- it seems they only clean it ...during the peak season of summer and let it degrade the rest of the year. Dog waste is commonly observed and the walls are extremely thin so noisy neighbors are common. While I was fine paying a small increase per year to stay in the same school for my kids, this year they went from a $50/mon increase to $150 a month increase! After arguing that I paid rent on time and have had no problems there, they went down to $120- thanks but no thanks. They staff does not appreciate the residents and they lost my business. The staff didn't even care about doing a final inspection walk through with me, claiming to be too busy, and then billing me for items they could have warned me about. A safe neighborhood and conveniently located but a terrible staff and management.Property Manager Responded
