Terrible management
February 29, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comI have been a tenant for 2 years now. One of the most inconvenient aspects is we have to share 2 washers and 2 dryers with 16 other units. 1 washer has been out of order since SEPTEMBER with no answers as to when it will be fixed. That’s nearing 6 months of sharing 1 washer with 16 units. Now the other washer is out of order. Filled with water. They said I’ll have to walk to a whole different building and use theirs. So now that’s 2 washers for 32 DIFFERENT UNITS! Ridiculous!
Mold & Constant Problems
January 30, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comAmenities shrink but cost of apartments goes up over $100/mo. Bathrooms full of mold. Constantly have to call maintenance out. Appliances from the 70's. Cheap carpet. At least once a season you will have to cal in sick to work due to them not plowing the snow. During major storms maintenance will not be plowing overnight. They start at 6am at front buildings if you have to work early and are in back you're out of luck.

Good apartment, but poor management
July 8, 2019 - Review from Apartments.comI was really excited about moving in here as overall I love the look and layout of the apartments. The major downside is the management; they do not really care about the tenants. I had a few things that needed fixed when we moved in and for most of them we were told essentially “that’s just the way it is.” I was trying to get away from poor management where I lived before and the management here is not a whole lot better. A few years ago I did live in another Dawn Homes property that had ...extremely nice managers so I would recommend their other properties.Read More

I've lived on the bottom floor apartment for about 2 yrs and overall management is friendly and they try hard to fix things but I would NOT recommend the downstairs due to rodents getting in. Mine were getting in and out from behind the dishwasher so they had to pull dishwasher out and found 2 holes in the wall. They stuffed the holes with steelwool. I hope this works!. The rodents were mice and Voles. They harbor a lot of bacteria and can be fatal to pets and humans if bitten. Unfortunately ...my cat only likes to watch them. She won't kill them. The office and maintenance staffs do all they can to help with any issues and those are few and far between. If a problem arises on the off hours it's very easy to reach the on call person. The parking lots and sidewalks are well taken care of during the winter months. The pool area is kept clean and welcoming for those warm summer days. March 5, 2018 - Review from Apartments.comNo serious complaints from living here, the apartments are clean and well maintained. The only things I've noticed is a limit of parking availability, it has happened on at least one occasion to me that I get home from work and there are zero spots in the entire lot- the only option to park across the street in the other buildings parking lot. The location here is really nice though, I like being able to take my puppy out for a potty run at 2 am and not be freaked out being alone. Speaking of ...dogs, there are a lot of them- it seems everyone has one which I love to see- unfortunately not everyone picks up after them! There is a large amount of waste left around the grassy areas- I'm not sure how this can be enforced. When my sister lived here she said she would pick up her own dogs poop and if she saw someone else's she would grab it too. She moved out because the rent was being increased and they could no longer afford it. Considering the amount of dogs in the area I am surprised that there are no walkways/sidewalks or even fenced in play area for tenants to use. Overall a very nice place to live.Read More

February 28, 2018 - Review from Apartments.comI’ve lived here since November, and have been very pleased thus far. When we first moved in there were a few problems with the tub and a closet door, called management and it was corrected that same day! Neighbors are very quiet I hardly know they’re here! But when I do see them they’re always very polite. Extra storage closet in the laundry room is a big plus because there’s no storage on the balcony like I’ve had in the past.

January 31, 2018 - Review from Apartments.comLived here for two years, just moved out recently due to increasing rents. Price goes up every year, at least $30 dollars. Apartment was decent enough, but tenant treatment by managing staff is so unpleasant. Property maintenance is poor. Snow removal is always delayed, walkways are always icy, and parking lots/drives are full of potholes that are never fixed. For charging so much, and having nothing included aside from cable and bad internet, not worth it at all.
