Following are the charges after moveout from Whispering Creek Villas (Whatever you pay as deposit you'll never get it because they will come up with charges so that they don't need to return the security deposit. When I moved in in 2021 the security deposit was $150. During my last year renewal with RPM the security deposit was $650. There are other reviews where former residents complained about not getting their security deposit. BBB website mentions that the major complain against RPM is ...
former tenants not getting their security deposits back): Drainage Income $2.96 Final Pest Control ($3.42) Final Sewer Allocation $58.26 Final Trash Admin Fee $3.00 Final Valet Trash $52.50 Final Water Allocation $69.02 Security Deposit Credit (650.00) This is my security deposit Cleaning Charges $100 (the apartment was cleaned thoroughly) Carpet Cleaning Charges $65 (we never brought shoes inside the house. In fact, every time I needed to remind the maintenance to wear shoe cover) Painting $300 (the wall was completely fine) Tub Resurface $275 (They did not do it and was unlawfully trying to get it which I managed to cancel by showing proof with images and emails which proves that they want to scam you) Unreturned fob $75 (They will charge you for the fob and then if you don't return they will charge you again. Which means you pay twice . Not only that, they will sell it to the new tenant at $75) I have been to other apartments and cleaned everything before leaving and never ever had issues getting back my security deposit. Also, for more than a month I had to use only 1 bathroom in the 2 bath apartment because they would not fix the toilet. Interestingly the charges almost matches my deposit(except for the tub resurfacing and key return)? Is that a coincidence?

Old Apartments at a Luxury Price

Moved in to a musty, dirty apartment in September of 2021. Transferred into another dirty apartment in December. The pool was out of service most of the summer and maintenance was poor. They made repairs in two areas of the apartment and never came back to paint over the patches. They also replaced the thermostat but never came back to repair that paint either. The gate was broken frequently and there were vehicle break-ins in the parking lot. Recommend you spend your money on an apartment that ...

Place is not worth the price.....gate is old and needs replacing for a year now. People steal packages, things on patio, car break ins and auto theft. Maintenance is so backed up, you have to call over and over to get things fixed. Complex needs upgrade. Rent from a new complex but not here.

Pathetic maintenance management

The current management has no interest in fixing resident's maintenance issue, issues dont get resolved and they gets closed in system without anyone bothering to even go and see the issue.

This has been one of the worst apartment complexes I have lived in. You WILL experience consistent maintenance issues. I had to tell the management/maintenance team (both old and new) multiples times before they believed me and "fixed" the problems, when maintenance comes into your apartment there is a chance they will break something and leave a mess (has happened to me multiple times), and you're left with the bill if any of the issues messed with your electricity or water (has happened to me ...
multiple times). If you call about a legitimate after hours maintenance emergency, it's hit or miss if they will actually come the same day and address it. There was also an electrical fire in the building during my stay, not once did management confirm if it was safe continue to live in the building and residents in that building are still having electricity issues.

Don't waste your money

This place used to be nice, but current management has no interest in maintaining the property and will fine you for anything they think they can get away with and they'll add bogus fees to your rent if you don't watch them carefully. You can find better elsewhere.

Fish rent

I don’t live here, I just want to comment that that is ridiculous that there is a FISH fee. And fish rent. Like what. It’s a fish. I actually was going to save this place to potentially look at later but that alone shows this place probably nickels and dimes for the dumbest things. Who wants to live somewhere that charges you for more in fish rent than the fish probably cost.

I feel compelled to write a review of my experience with Whispering Creek Villas Apartment Homes. My daughter Alyssa chose to do one of her four-month rotations as a student of optometry in San Antonio. We are from Boston MA. We have never been to San Antonio and were apprehensive about this decision. She did some research online and chose Whispering Creek Villas as the place she would stay while working at the VA hospital in San Antonio. We drove from Boston to San Antonio (2000 miles). 35 hours ...
and two days later, we arrived at Whispering Creek Villas. We walked into the management office, exhausted and frankly nervous. Immediately we were greeted with a hug and the most genuine welcome I have ever experienced. First it was Lady Kyllonen who already knew my daughters name and so much about her! Lady K not only impressed me with her professionalism, but , more importantly her obvious sincerity. I immediately felt so much relief that when I left my daughter 2000 miles away from home that she was safe and was in wonderful hands. As a father, there is no better feeling to know my child is safe. You can not put a price on that! Amabel and others also came up to my daughter with welcoming hugs and such positive words. The office, apartment and grounds were immaculate. This unforgettable life experience for my daughter was perfect. The people I mentioned at Whispering Creek Villas added to that in such a positive way that honestly, my words can’t do it justice. You have to experience it to understand. Great Community

My wife and I enjoyed living here for a year but moving out due to job relocation. The landscaping is well maintained and groomed regularly with plenty of shade and greenery to block out the busy streets surrounding the apartments. A very convenient location with easy access to shopping, entertainment, a nature trail across the street, two major interstates, and the medical center. A great and attentive staff that is always available during business hours and a maintenance staff who are ...
professional as well as efficient. The apartments are gated with one entrance and exit at the front and the community is demographically diverse and very active; the staff encourages getting to know your neighbor through hosted monthly events on the property. And for the coffee drinkers out there, a Starbucks Coffee brewing machine at the main office which grinds fresh dark or medium roast beans for your coffee, or it can make hot coco as well as tea; the staff was baking fresh cookies our first 6 months here but has stopped. We also have a few things we did not enjoy about the apartments and the first is the occasional short power outages but we were told it’s normal for the City of San Antonio; we highly recommend getting a battery backup. Depending on the building you live in also depends on whether or not you need to add heavy curtains over the windows because during the summer the sun light can raise the temp in your unit fast. The two bedroom unit we live in does not have a ceiling fan in the living room so we had to get a fan to circulate the air. Our closets have the same light fixture as the outdoor hallways and they are annoying because it can take a minute for the light to flicker on. Given the price per month, we were disappointed to see there were no granite counter-tops and the wood flooring the staff talks about is just peel & stick vinyl tiles. For the last several months leading up summer we have seen a sudden increase in roaches and ants but it has improved since the pest control treated our unit, which is covered in the rent. We were surprised the first day we moved in to see our unit was not made-ready which took a few months to complete all our submitted work orders. Overall, we are happy living at the apartments and would definitely move back if our job relocates us to San Antonio again. We would recommend these apartments to our friends or family because of its beautiful landscaping, convenient location, and friendly community as well as staff.
