This building is part of the conservation effort to preserve and restore historic buildings rather than demolish and rebuild approach. This Eco-Friendly alternative provides attractive and quality construction blending vintage and modern style. Each flat is constructed with 12-foot ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors, artistic ceramic tiles, as well as modern kitchens and baths. Within a minute's walk to the Prudential Center, it is in a prime location for local entertainment and a prime attraction for visitors. Newark also offers advantageous transportation for commuting to and from New York City and other major cities. Newark's Penn Station offers an express train ride of 20 minutes to New York City Penn Station and 5 minutes to Newark Intl' Airport. The sky is the limit when living at William Flats! Monthly rent includes water, sewer, garbage disposal, and use of amenities if any. The tenant is liable for all utilities servicing their apartment. All applications are subject to a non-refundable $50.00 credit check fee upon submittal of an application. All leases are subject to credit review and income approval. An additional $50.00 monthly pet fee and an additional $500.00 pet deposit is required when applicable.

Rustic Charm!
June 12, 2025I moved in not too long ago, and so far, everything has been good. The building is clean, the infrastructure is solid, and I appreciate the privacy and peace of mind it offers. It's located on a charming block adorned with string lights and beautiful graffiti art that reflects the local culture. As you walk into the building, you can even feel the historic preservation of the neighborhood. I find the minimum requirements for this property to be very fair. I faced a few hiccups during my ...application process when I was getting three different credit scores from three different apps on my end and a completely different score when they pulled my report. However, the leasing manager, Allen, was incredibly patient and kindly ran my report again (a few times actually). Can't thank you enough, Allen! The management company and office appear to be legitimate and professional, with a lot of communication between management and tenants. A few mornings, as I left for work, I noticed the company truck parked out front along with a gentleman in uniform displaying the company logo entering the building. I think it's Tek from Maintenance. I like to see that; it indicates the landlord values and maintains their property. I absolutely love the modern rustic interior aesthetic here! I just have one suggestion; you guys should rotate the sofa so that it’s in the middle of the lobby, facing the elevator and aligns with that second column closest to the mailroom. It would look better ; ) Overall, I am very pleased with the building and the staff. Everything has been going smoothly so far!Property Manager Responded

What can I say
June 8, 2023First, I moved into a disgusting and filthy apartment. Maintenance is slow to fix anything. Random people can enter the building and viscously intimidate and be supported.Property Manager Responded

Safety is our top priority, which is why we have installed a security system and cameras, and only tenants are only allowed in with a key fob. We also prep all of our units to be move-in ready when a tenant leases the space. If for any reason your unit was not to your liking, please supply the photos from the initial move-in so we understand what went wrong and how we can fix this for new tenants. complaints of stolen mail for over one year
September 20, 2020Nice apartment, but residents packages and mail have been getting stolen for over 1 year and management has chosen to do anything about it. they refuse to put a camera in the mail room. The main entrance door has been broken for weeks and no urgency to fix it. Bottomline is management is unresponsive, but would gladly take your rent on the 1st of the month.Property Manager Responded
