About Winston Factory Lofts

Originally built in 1920 by the P. H. Hanes Company for textile manufacturing, we converted these majestic industrial buildings into 171 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes. Construction involved all new mechanical and fire alarm systems; roof, skylight and window replacement; restoration of the façade; new main entrance foyer accessing a new lobby and lounge. We introduced contemporary architectural features throughout while preserving the attractive historic character of the buildings. Our design has more amenities than any other downtown apartment community and more than virtually all of the condo projects in Winston-Salem. Great response to maintenance requests I just want to say that I always have my maintenance requests checked on within a day or two, depending on what time I make the request. Also, we just got a cool new coffee machine. The old one had been acting funny the past few days, but I had not yet had a chance to make a request.

One word: noisy

These apartments are loud. The train is loud, the other tenants are loud, and there is NO insulation between floors. You can hear everything in the neighboring units. I’m not exaggerating when I say you can hear a pin drop from above or beside you. Living here has been awful.

Near-instant maintenance!

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of a growing social/arts/nightlife scene in downtown Winston-Salem. The apartments themselves are very nice - typical for what you would expect from converted factory-style lofts. Beyond that, the staff is incredibly responsive and proactive in ensuring that tenants are happy with their experiences. Likewise, the maintenance team is excellent - both very friendly and very quick to respond to service requests. I can't recommend living here enough - ...

Winston Factory Lofts are located perfectly for those who wants to be close to everything. It's a huge plus to be walking distance from everything downtown as well as a short drive away from work or school. The buildings are nicely renovated factories, which gives you a modern industrial feel. Staff is wonderful, maintenance handled quickly and frequent resident events ...
means you get a chance to get to know your neighbors. My one problem is the noise levels. The walls are thin, the floors are loud and the residents are young. Had it not been for this one thing, it would have been the perfect place to live in Winston-Salem.
