Atlanta is full of such rich history, and that's part of what makes living in an apartment there so interesting, so why not, when it comes time for dinner, take in a place full of as much history as the city itself? The Varsity has been serving Atlantans since 1928, and the crowds just keep coming for the friendly service and excellent food, serving up comfort food the way its supposed to be made, from the heart, just like mama used to make. The Varsity to this day still holds the record as the largest drive-in restaurant in the world, being able to serve 600 cars at once, while also entertaining a crowd of 800 indoors. Despite this ability to accommodate such a large crowd, it's still packed to the brim most nights, with crowds nearly pouring from the woodwork on evenings when the Yellowjackets play. The site of the Varsity has become so familiar to many, that it's become one of the most famous buildings in Atlanta. It's not just the history or the atmosphere that keeps folks coming back, though. A drive-in would have a hard time surviving for eighty years if it weren't for delicious food, and The Varsity has some of the best "fast food" in town. Whether you've arrived for one of their scrumptious chili dogs, or whether you're ready to indulge your sweet tooth in one of their world-famous fried pies, they'll bring it to you hot and delicious, and keep you coming back for more. They have a number of affordable combos, each coming with your choice of their delicious french fries or onion rings, and including their signature chili dog, their bacon cheeseburger, slawdogs, or even hot wings. If you're looking to wet your whistle, try one of their renowned chilled oranges, southern sweet tea, or any number of different beverage options. Full of history, as well as some of the best food in town, The Varsity is one stop every Atlantan has to make. If you live in an apartment in Atlanta, and you've never tasted one of The Varsity's fresh hot fried pies, chili dogs, or frosted oranges, you just haven't lived.
