First opening up in 1975, Antone’s has been host to some of the greatest names in music, such as Pinetop Perkins, B.B. King and Buddy Guy, and helped jump-start the careers of Los Lonely Boys, Bob Schneider, and even Stevie Ray Vaughan. Though its founder, Clifford Antone, may have left us in 2006, his legacy still looms over the venue, which continues to bring in some of the best acts from around the world. Antone’s mood if mostly blues, so get ready to feel the emotion dripping from the walls. Speaking of the walls, they’re crowded with pictures of acts that have come through, and each one tells a great story about this historic Austin landmark. The venue is smaller and more intimate, let you and get up close and personal with the acts, letting the emotion of the music flow through you.
