Austin apartment living is a lot of fun, especially since you're surrounded by so much exciting nightlife in the city, but sometimes you just need to get away and find a place that's still just as upscale as the downtown joints, but with the warmth and hometown feel of the hill country. Well you're in luck, because Hudson on the Bend provides you delicious, upscale with the rustic, homey feel of the hill country built right in. When you first look over the menu of Hudson's, you're sure to be surprised by some of the delicacies they serve. They use meats you're not likely find on many other menus in town, including rattlesnake, elk, pheasant, quail, boar, rabbit and bison. These unique ingredients come together to make interesting and unique dishes you won't find anywhere else, including the Hudson's Mixed Grill, which includes grilled venison, rabbit tenders, smoked quail, spicy game sausage, and buffalo all mixed together with one of Hudson's classic sauces. If wild game scares you, there are still some tasty, and more ordinary, choices for your dining pleasure. They numerous cuts, sizes and shapes of steaks, pork chops smothered in watermelon salsa and chutney, and even duck breasts with seared scallops. Another great draw of the place is its delicious fish dishes. Whether you're up for a Tuna Steak, some Salmon, Mahi Mahi, or just plain old Halibut, they can get it to you with style and flair, using their clever chemistry in the kitchen to create something that will leave you full and satisfied. Hudson's on the Bend is the best place to go for upscale cooking that is often the beaten path.
