For those Baltimore apartment-ites looking for a Latino experience, this city boasts an incredible place to get it at Latin Palace. It's a cultural landmark with all types of Latin music and broadcasts international interests with flags of more than 20 countries, dance music and Latin appetizers, entrees and drinks. Happy hours, dance lessons and great food will keep you interested and coming back for more. This two level nightclub has two spacious dance floors downstairs and a full fledged restaurant upstairs. You can hear, and dance to, salsa, meringue and bachata for Dominican Republic patriots. But that's not all. Hip-hop, reggae, R&B and kumbia are played on occasion in one of the two dancing areas. It's a tropical experience, with palm trees, exotic fish tanks and beautiful lifelike murals displaying jungles and oceans. Happy hour is daily from five to nine pm, for those wanting a taste of Latin America on their way home to their Baltimore apartment from work. Wednesday night is salsa dancing lessons with a professional, with or without a partner, with no reservation required. The cost is just $10 per person, and when you eat in Las Palmas restaurant upstairs beforehand, you get 50% off. Friday nights are live music night and features Ladies' Latin Night, where ladies get in free until 10 pm. It's just $5 per woman after that. Saturday offers patrons DJ night, playing the "hottest" Salsa, Merengue, Bachata & Reggeaton, while Sunday is hip-hop night. Latin Palace dance club and bar is open Tuesday through Sunday, 8 pm to 2 am. Soups and salads, with a Cuban, Mexican, the Caribbean and other Latin country fare, are served at Las Palmas just above. Caribbean cream seafood soup and ceviche with a Caesar salad can start your meal, followed by pasta, chicken, pork or steak, or awesome Tex-Mex plates. If you're just looking for something to snack on after an evening of dancing, the Palace has a great variety of topas bocadillos, including mussels, fried calamari, steamed clams, quesadillas, or even nachos and French fries. If you're looking to celebrate a big event, with your work, personally, or for your fellow Baltimore apartment-ites, Latin Palace can be rented out with great party packages. Just call the club to find out more.
