When a person from a Boston apartment first starts down Commonwealth Avenue, they thinking there's little different it and the thousands of other streets they walk down every day, but when they reach the Commonwealth Avenue Mall, they might be giving that idea second thoughts. There are few other places in town that match the natural and artistic beauty of this thoroughfare, full of luscious greenery, sculptuary, and memorials that simply must be seen to be belived. Though the road had been in operation for years before, the creation of the Commonwealth Avenue Mall first occurred in 1865.
