Rock bottom typically means you've hit the lowest point, but not at Cleveland's Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery, in fact, it's quite the opposite. This is an excellent spot to grab a tasty meal and enjoy freshly brewed beer in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Cleveland apartment residents can enjoy the local feel of the city at a chain restaurant. Located along the reborn West Bank of the Cuyahoga, it's the perfect after work treat, weekend game watching location or a well priced lunch or dinner restaurant. So what's on the menu at Rock Bottom Restaurant? Meat eaters can find Brown Ale Chicken and Alder Smoked Salmon Fish & Chips, Texas Fire Steak and the best BBQ ribs and chicken anywhere. The restaurant also offers a variety of delicious salads, hearty sandwiches, burgers, and its world famous White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes. If you're just in the mood for their handcrafted beer and an appetizer, try the Asiago Cheese Dip served with the restaurant's own handmade Beer Bread, crispy Buffalo wings, two giant pretzels brushed with brown ale served with the cheese dip, or the unique Titan Toothpicks, smoked chicken, Monterey Jack cheese, peppers and onions in hand-rolled crispy tortillas served with guacamole and awesome barbeque sauce. Now to the beer menu. Fresh, balanced beer that is considered art at Rock Bottom is the fare here. The chain as a whole produces 40,000 barrels of beer yearly, the highest volume of beer in the restaurant brewery category, and they have won over 100 Beer Awards for excellence in brewing. Beer is made on the premises from the Rock Bottom's brew master recipes, with hand-selected hops and malted barley from the great Northwest. Both traditional beer styles and more distinctive specialty ales and lagers are brewed. Served in icy cold mugs, this place has the best of the best in excellent beer. The environment at Rock Bottom is comfortable for many Cleveland apartment-ites, ranging from the blue suit power brokers to "river rats" and blues music groupies attending the Thursday and Friday night live blues scene here. Great service is the norm, with good times expected by all. For the serious beer drinker, the Brewery has created the "Mug Club," a reward system for drinking their fine beer. Awards are based on the number visits where beer is consumed, and of course not all at one time! You drink out of a special reserved mug, and after five visits, you receive a Rock Bottom logo pint glass, ten visits earns you a Mug Club baseball cap, a growler cooler after 25 visits, and on up to 120 visits on which event you receive your name on a plaque for the Barrel Club. A T-shirt and a barbecue set are other gifts, and for every tenth visit after 50, you get $10 Club Cash. It's not recommended that you make the Barrel Club in just four or five months, as that beer belly may not look too impressive at your Cleveland apartment pool this summer!
