Wegerzyn Gardens is a little different from your average city park. This park has been specially designed to represent the very best of the Dayton apartments natural areas. There is a perfectly developed horticultural facility as well as a stunning example of the swamp forest and a woodland area with a long history. There is the Marie Aull Nature Trail , where you can walk along in solitude to appreciate the area beauty or jog along with a friend to get your exercise and commune with nature at the same time. The area is handicapped accessible and has ramps in the parking area for easier entry. The Stillwater River graces one side of the trail and a grassy meadow on the other. It is a landscape few others can call their own. Dayton apartment residents have a chance to enjoy a setting like this every single day. The park also offers a variety of community events and programs for educational purposes. The gardens have a gift shop on the premises for souvenirs and memorabilia of this amazing natural experience. One of the coolest parts of this garden is its interest in the Dayton apartments community. The local citizenry participates in the gardens by growing herbs, vegetables and flowers in 28' X 28' plots each year to keep the grounds cultivated and rich. Good thinking, huh?
