Authenticity is one of the most important elements when it comes to a pubs success, and, though Denver is filled with plenty of brew pubs, apartment-ites might have a difficult time finding one that has that real British feel. Worry not, gentle apartment-ite, because Pint's Pub has just what you need, with furnishings, food and brews reminiscent of the UK, and even has the London Times waiting for you by the front door. It's also home to the biggest selection of single malt whiskey around, as well as a number of hand-crafted, made-in-house beers. Of course, the food ain't bad either. In recent years, the term pub grub has become infamous for referring to a dishes lack of quality. Here at Pint's, they don't believe that pub grub should be thrown together without thought on a whim, but instead every dish is made by hand from fresh ingredient when you order it. For an example of just how good pub grub can be, start your meal with some Bisto Chips, fresh cut fries covered in brown gravy, Swiss, and curry powder, or their Lambeth Lamb, lamb skewers marinated in vinegar, mustard, herbs and spices, served with a curry cucumber dipping sauce, or you can try their home made potato crisps. When it comes time for your main meal, you have some options. You can try one of their delicious burgers, or you can go with the more traditional English pub route. Their burgers, or Wimpys, are made with 100 percent real Angus chuck, formed by hand, and then served on a piping hot, straight-out-of-the-oven, fresh baked roll. They come in numerous varieties, including the Salisbury's Wimpy, covered in brown gravy, mushrooms and Swiss cheese, the Wasabi Wimpy, with onion wasabi sauce, and the Queen's Own Wimpy, a meatless burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato and dijonaise. For the more traditional UK route, try their bangers and mash, with bangers boiled in beer, and mashers made by hand, served with a side salad, or their trencherman's tuck, medallions of apple-smoked pork loin served with fresh mashers and gravy, plus a side salad, their shepherder's stew, made with lamb, or their classic fish and chips, with a slight twist. They serve up fresh-broiled salmon filet, served with fresh cut chips and crisp salad. Of course, you can't leave without trying one of their delicious beers, or their some of the extensive collection of single-malt whiskey. At Pint's, they have plenty of delicious ales for you to peruse, most which hail from the British isles, to traditional British flavors such as Guinness, Fuller's, Harp and Boddingtons, to the more unique, such as Left Hand Haystack Weiss, Great Divide Wild Raspberry, or Anchor Steam. However, if you're going to come to Pint's, you have got to try their handcrafted home brews, including their Phone Box Amber Lager, Airedale Pale Ale, Alchemy ESB, Lancer Indian Pale Ale, Dark Star Ale, or Gael Force Ale. If real British food and drink is what you're craving, few places in Denver do it better than Pint's, so if you're an Anglophilic apartment-ite searching for where to spend your night, step right up, you won't regret it.
