Trinity University is a Coed, independent, Private liberal arts and sciences college formed in 1869 in San Antonio by the Presbyterian church. Located in a residential neighborhood, five minutes from downtown and the city's major airport, Trinity is very accessible to Apartment-ite's all over San Antonio. With 2500 undergraduates and over 200 post-graduates attending classes, this University has what it takes to be a major private school. Admissions If you are thinking of enrolling at Trinity, it will help if you are in the top 20% of your class. A typical incoming freshman entering Trinity has a 3.5 GPA from high school, so be sure to keep your studies up. It will help tremendously if you have taken any honors classes or been through an accelerated learning program as well. A 1230 on the SAT or a 27-31 on the ACT would be helpful to be considered along with doing well on the required written admission essay. Finally, the campus interview and references from teachers will be used to gauge your probable success as a student at Trinity. Approximate Cost After completing every test and giving the University everything, but your families genealogy to get in, you are now ready to figure out how much your education is going to cost you at Trinity. For a freshman, the basic cost for tuition is going to be $26,664 a year. If you live in on-campus housing, you'll $5600 for a dorm and another $3222 for a meal plan. Tack on the yearly student fees of $1,036 a year as well as books/supplies and your grand total is approximately $38,552 a year! It's a very solid education and well worth every penny. Off Campus Apartments Versus Dorms Many students save on cost by living in an off campus apartment over one of the on-campus residencies. If you choose to live on campus you can live in one of the two bedroom suites with balconies, air conditioning, microwaves, cable TV's and refrigerators. The suites also come with private bathrooms and are professionally cleaned every two weeks. All first year students, sophomores, and juniors are required to live on campus in one of the 16 residence halls. Students may petition to live off of campus in one of the many great apartments in the area as well. Living off of campus gives a student many more freedoms than on-campus living does. It also gives you more privacy to study when needed. Trinity University is truly a great university where students from all social and economic backgrounds can come together to better themselves and further their education. Go Trinity!
