Margaret Pace Park is a small but cozy 8-acre park, located by the waterfront on North Bayshore Drive. It's a fairly-low key spot as far as tourists are concerned, so local or quiet-loving apartment-ites will appreciate the tranquillity and location of the park. It's great for a stroll along Biscayne Bay, one of Miami's lagoons, which is a hotspot for fishermen, but the park also provides a panoramic view of the entire city. Apart from a series of landscaped pathways, the park features two lit basketball courts and two tennis courts. Because it's also dog-friendly, there's no need to leave your sad pooch alone in your apartment. The park is great for picnics or soccer-playing on the main field, or jogging on the open trails, and is a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the crowded city. As this is a public park, entrance is free, but parking can be a little hard to find. Many rent the park to hold parties and events (including outdoor concerts), or even fitness classes, which is why the park has such a community feel to it. All in all, a pleasant place to come and relax.
