Who doesn't love Christmas? For apartment-ites who've just relocated to Florida from Christmassy wintry parts of the country, Santa's Enchanted Forest is the perfect antidote to what wass-ails you. It's also great for those who start decorating the day after Thanksgiving. The amusement parks boasts over 100 attractions, including 40 rides, 4 rollercoasters (with the tallest drop tower in the world), 3 million lights, trained elephants and sea lions, a petting zoo, pony rides, an extreme stunt Santa Claus (yes, you read that right), and a partridge in a pear tree. Add to this the fact that it's the world's biggest Christmas-themed park, and it's a little surprising that it's located right in the heart of Miami. It's the city's only holiday theme park, but draws considerable crowds. As soon as you step into the park you're immediately hit by the fantastical light displays, including a 92-foot tree lit to resemble an American flag. There are a variety of high-octane attractions, including BMX stunt riders and the aforementioned Santa daredevil, but there are some more relaxed, family-oriented shows too, such as a puppeteer and ventriloquist, and a Christmas-themed magic act. Aside from all of this packed into the experience, there's a great range of seasonal fair foods, including churros, hot dogs or fried donuts. The park is open from Nov 6 through Jan 4, from 5pm to 12am, and admission is $22.90 + tax for adults, and $15.89 + tax for kids 9 and under and seniors (under 2s go free). If you ever get a chance to relax and take a breather, you can start composing your letter to Santa, and there's no need to step outside the park to mail it - the park features a post office boasting direct mail to the North Pole.
