It is in this hall that two of the most famous documents in United States history first were signed, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. Informative and fascinating tours are given of the facilities every day, allowing you to take in the world as they knew it back in the late seventeen hundreds, and learn what went through their heads as they made the decisions that affect us still today. Another famous landmark that sits in the middle of Independence Historical Park is the Liberty Bell. This symbol of American freedom has stood firm for many years, crack and all, as a testament to America's fortitude and independence. It was famously rung to inform citizens of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, as well as after several victories during the War of Independence, and stands as a symbol of all those values that make America what it is today.
