Dwight Village, within walking or driving distance, offers Henrietta’s Pine Bakery, Cookhouse Saloon, Algonquin Fudge Factory, and a general store and post office. Marsh’s Falls is also nearby. Limberlost Forest & Wildlife Reserve and Oxtongue River–Ragged Falls are a short drive away. Dorset Heritage Museum & Scenic Lookout Tower is a 15–20 minute drive. There is a noise monitoring device installed that tracks volume decibels, but does not record audio. Violations of the no smoking and no parties policies will result in a $1000 fine respectively. Toilet paper, garbage bags and basic toiletries will be provided at the beginning of the stay, after which guests are responsible for providing these items. The property is located in cottage country so mosquitos, flies, and in rare cases, small wild animals could be seen in the area. Windows and doors should be closed when not in use to prevent pests from entering the cottage.
