The Original Mexican Restaurant is not only a great place to eat but it is a standing tribute to an infamous local family that ran a Mexican restaurant in the area from 1899 to 1960. The family and their restaurant changed the way that people thought of Mexican food in the area. Apartment-ites in the ares love The Original Mexican Restaurant for more than its place in the community. They rave about the food like the Puerco Original, Fajita Platter, Enchiladas and Quesadillas. There is also the extensive drink menu and full bar. Have a margaritia, mojito or glass of sangria with your satisfying meal and get a real sense of what San Antonio apartment-ite life is like. There are so many benefits to this great little joint. The strolling mariachi musicians provide live music to eat by and free two hour parking. They also have river barge parties and cater events of every size.
