How many times have you wished you lived in Old Town apartments? If you haven't thought of it before, it's a great idea for convenience to downtown and area transportation, plus close to restaurants and shopping. Situated very near the Old Town State Historic Park, these apartments are not only close to the Old Town Transit Center, with Coaster, Trolley, and MTS Bus service, the park also features free wi-fi, a few great restaurants and plenty of free parking. Old town is a representation of the Mexican and American periods from about 1821 to 1872. History comes alive here, yet with a slower pace than that of a typical resident of San Diego apartments. Original adobe buildings, five of them, and reconstructed historical buildings occupy the site, where unique retail shops, museums, and some laid back and delicious restaurants. There is a mansion that reflects the style of the period, a home typical of the era and San Diego's first public school. A print shop and the Seeley Stables museum will wow residents of Old Town apartments with an incredible wagon and carriage collection. To get an early 20th century view of the area, jump on one of the horse-drawn carriages for just a little money on Friday and Saturday afternoons. You can't take it home to your San Diego Apartment, but it's a fun adventure for young and old alike. Annual events at Old Town State Historic Park that residents of San Diego Apartments enjoy include historic renditions of such holidays as Mormon Battalion Day in January, Fiesta Cinco De Mayo in May, and Stagecoach Days in July. Eating here for lunch or dinner instead of your Old Town apartment is a great idea. Try an excellent fare of Mexican food and a margarita and then sample some ice cream or candy. It's a slowed down pace for the San Diego apartment dweller that is bound to please.
