What could be a better way to spend an afternoon or weekend away from your Sarasota apartments than at the beach? And while Sarasota has many beaches, and many apartments, South Lido Beach Park has all the amenities of what you're looking for with a day at the beach, yet not too far from your Sarasota apartments. The huge park encompasses plenty of space for picnicking, barbequing and just plain lounging on the beach. Many facilities exist in the area for making your trip more enjoyable including picnic tables, pavilions, lifeguards and restrooms, but plenty of paid services are available as well. Beach equipment rentals, food concessions and restaurants are nearby in case you forgot something from your Sarasota or South Lido Beach Park apartments. Tall Australian pines occupy a good part of the beach, offering shade and a bit of privacy. Some of the trees exist within a few feet of the water. And while there is a good amount of free parking in the area, you can drive right up on your boat and toss your anchor on the inter-coastal side for a beach party on or off the boat. It can get pretty hectic at South Lido Beach Park on special holiday weekends, so plan to leave your apartment early enough to grab a good parking spot and a barbeque pit or picnic table, or maybe just a great tanning spot. Nearby to South Lido Beach Park, just a couple of miles away further from your apartment is North Lido Beach, with a few more sand dunes and less public facilities, limited parking and no lifeguards. The white sand and clearer water are excellent on this section and can be enjoyable because it is so close to South Lido Beach Park. Cleaning your Sarasota apartments can wait. Get to South Lido Beach Park this weekend.
