If you're searching for a beer in the Phoenix area, an apartment-ite doesn't have to look very far. Around every corner is a pub, bar, or dive serving up the suds nearly twenty-four seven. The quality of that beer is the ever-important question, however. If you're looking for the best quality beer in town, why not sit down to a glass from a brewery right in the AZ? Tempe area Four Peaks brewery is brewing up the best brews right in store, as well as offering some delicious meals to go along with them. Hungry, thirsty, or just looking for a good time, you'll find it all at Four Peaks. Four Peaks Brewery offers one thing that few other places in town can provide: home brews made right in house, and served fresh and cold. It's not just one or two varieties either, Four Peaks offers a great number of different types of ales and stouts, and an even greater array of tastes with their seasonal choices. Their beer varieties include their Kilt Lifter Scottish-Style Ale, which won third place in the Great American Beer Festival in 98, 99 and 2003, their 8th-Street Ale, winner of the bronze at the World Beer Cup in 2002, and the silver in 2000 and 2002 Great American Beer Festival, their very own Hefeweisen, Hop Knot IPA, Sunbru Kolsch Style Ale, The Raj India Pale Ale, as well as an Oatmeal Stout, and even their special Arizona Peach beer. They also have a number of seasonal favorites, including their gold-meal winning Hopsquatch Barleywine. One thing you wouldn't expect from a brewery is delicious, but Four Peaks surprises every time. You can start your meal with some traditional favorites, such as their Brickhouse Wings, available in your choice of Oatmeal Stout barbecue, Spicy Thai Peanut, or traditional Buffalo sauce, chicken quesadillas, or five-layer nacho dip, or you can partake in some of their more unique dishes, such as their Bavarian pretzels, spanakopita, or garlic cheese beer bread. You could also try one of the homemade salads or soups, with only the freshest ingredients. When it comes to main courses, your options explode, with everything from burgers, to pizzas, to sandwiches, to traditional pub grub. If burgers are your style, try their Southwest burger, with Anaheim chili, pepper jack cheese and sweet jalapeno dressing, or the Popper Burger, with sauteed jalapenos, fried onion strings, and cream cheese. If you want more traditional pub grub, try their hand-battered chicken strips or fish and chips, or one of their Tex-Mex dishes, such a the Carne Adovada and Chicken Enchiladas. If you're in the mood for a nice steak, try their signature Kiltlifter Filet, two petite filets served with a demi-glace of their very own Kilt-Lifter Scottish Ale. You options for beer are virtuously endless in the big P, so why not go with a place that just screams Arizona. Four Peaks Brewery is the perfect spot for apartment-ites looking for a real taste of the AZ, while also enjoying a delicious bite, and some great service.
